They’re arguably both right. There’s too bloody many people in the parks, which makes the experience suffer drastically (excruciating lines, general overcrowding, strollers taking over every flat space, resources stretched, crowd-mitigation technology being overloaded and not working, etc.).

But how do you get less people to go? The straightforward solution, as any basic economics textbook will tell you, is to ‘increase price until demand equalizes at the desired level’. I feel almost like Disney’s done their job -too- well; they’ve done such a great job of creating this enticing mythology that now they’re suffering from success. I miss the days when you could walk through Disneyland and NOT be crammed elbow to elbow by a teeming swarm of humanity, and I haven’t been back for nearly 15 years mostly because of the ridiculous crowding.

I still love the parks, but now I get my enjoyment through vlogs and so forth.

Going mostly to WDW vs DLR, pre-covid they had busy times and not so busy, but they were staffed well enough to deal with the crowds. Fast Pass+ had it’s issues but at least it worked. Now we have same crowds, less staff and less experienced at that, AND they pretty much just carried the FP+ management problems of inventory vs total capacity and made you pay for it. Then there’s the Disney websites and data systems. Their IT is atrocious. Websites and MDE crashing all the time, the in park Wi-Fi and even cellular coverage still sucks. They need to invest in IT and IT staff that can learn some of the tribal knowledge of the company systems so they can properly improve things. They need to invest in cast members in general to keep as many people as possible to learn the rest of the parks operations and keep them this time and not throw away good employees by shutting down their operations for so long that they layoff everyone.
Ultimately they have to go back to what was working when they find changes arn’t working and the guest experience is cratering. Stoo doubling down for short term profits.

For sure, crowds are to high. Lines everywhere there’s nothing worse than crowds and lines . Shame on Disney for not Expanding park size. Really there not that big for amount of people.

Crowding after COVID is expected. Not much they can do about that. But they have removed some benefits and increased price. Worst is the Genie system which is inferior to FastPass, and you pay for it, so….

Went to the parks many times over the past decade. I don’t see my family returning for any foreseeable future.
