Disney World Extending Park Hours For This Month

Things are constantly changing at Walt Disney World Resort.

With so much to do, Guests want to have the most time possible to enjoy Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom when visiting Walt Disney World Resort.

For those making plans to visit the Disney Parks in late January, you may want to make a quick note on one change coming to Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The week of January 23 through January 29 will see some extended Park Hours compared to what initially was set forth by Disney World.

Magic Kingdom, which was originally scheduled to close at 8:00 p.m., will now close at 9:00 p.m. on January 23 and January 27. As previously announced, Magic Kingdom will still be open until 10 p.m. on January 24, January 28, and January 29, and will close early (at 4:30 p.m.) on January 25. Magic Kingdom opens daily at 9 a.m. during this time.

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom have the opportunity to experience many iconic attractions, including Haunted Mansion, “it’s a small world,” Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and many more.

In addition to the changes at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will also be extending its hours.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will now be opening earlier three days during the week. On January 23, 25, and 29, the Park will be opening at 8:00 a.m., meaning that early entry for Resort Guests will now by 7:30 a.m.  Animal Kingdom will also stay open until 8:00 p.m. on January 23 and January 29, closing at 7:00 p.m. on the other nights of the week.

Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom can explore many exciting attractions including Kilimanjaro Safaris, The Festival of the Lion King, Kali River Rapids, DINOSAUR, Avatar Flight of Passage, Na’Vi River Journey, It’s Tough To Be A Bug, and many more. Just recently, Expedition Everest closed for a lengthy refurbishment and is not expected to reopen until late spring 2022.
