I was thinking they toned it down due to higher maintenance on a more aggressive animatronic. If they toned it down because it was too scary for children then that’s just pathetic and I will never ride this attraction again.

What a wet hot take. Your reasoning is astounding, but is entirely yours to have.
Personally, I enjoy the ride miles more than I enjoy manufactured indignation. Wow.

Honestly, I hope you actually don’t like the ride and are just looking for an out lol

  2. So basically children are why we can’t ever have nice things.
This explains so much of life….

I really hope they change it to Jurassic World like at the Hollywood park. The improvements are staggering.

I was at the park September 21st and i was horrored to see how run down this whole ride was. Especially the dinosaures who showed tears in their ‘skin’ and even patches of very amatur stitch attempts. Shane

Yes, my feeling is that the animatronic stopped working to some degree and they left it this way for maintenance reasons…we’ve been told for decades how complex they are to keep working in water. Add that the original JP is probably not a priorith, and…well…

Yea, not buying the kid thing. If the Dino bumping into the boat scared kids then how did they handle the T-Rex in the warehouse? I do think it’s time for an upgrade. Technology has come a long way in 20 years. They could do some cool stuff.

These are two different animatromics…. what is this person talking about?

The first one that sprays from the nose is on the left side of the raft, the one that erupts from the water is on the right side and what “knocks” your raft off course. Granted the one on the right does break down and isn’t seen on every raft ride due to this, but they didn’t “tone them down” like this person suggests.

And in case anyone asks, I just rode it Dec 6th 2021 and she was working perfectly aside from a giant bolt sticking out the back of her head.
