  1. Sounds like they are not allowing people to take responsibility for themselves like the Walt Disney World nanny state. Well, Universal fans you had a good run. You were able to enjoy personal freedom for a longer period of time than the Disney crowd.

I’m still a fan and will still be visiting. (: But I’m not a giant baby.

  2. Christopher

Good! They shouldn’t have much earlier. P.S. If people would have gotten vaccinated, we wouldn’t be in this position now would we? Freedom, give a break. I can’t even go to Florida because it’s such a mess.

    1. Ryan

Over 70 % of the population has been vaccinated. Also, the vaccine does not stop the spread of COVID. Your argument is flawed.

      1. Jordan

I don’t know where you are looking, but half the people are still not fully vaccinated, let alone gotten a booster shot. The vaccine may not complete stop the spread, but it does lessen the effects it has on your body and lessens your chance of dying, all good things. I think your argument is flawed…

Jordan, According to your liberal rag, NYT, Florida is 63% vaxed as of 25 Dec 2021. So where are you getting your information? Random mask rant starting now (not really directed at Jordan): I wish all you Fake Faucites would stop saying if you wear a mask it will stop the spread and that they wear a mask cause they do in the hospitals (I got news for you cupcake, they wear masks in hospital cause infectious people can walk in at any moment). The most effective masks are the N95 masks (the one they wear in the hospitals) and if every one would wear that, then the “stop the spread” would be more effective. Most masks people wear do not stop the spread. The cloth masks people make out of the bed sheets Aunt Bertha slept on in the Clinton years are more porous than the US southern border during Obama years. If they made it mandatory that people wear N95 masks, that would be one thing showing that they care about the health of their workers and guests but that is not the case. They are virtue signaling saying any mask will work.

          1. Jordan

Liberal rag? I’m talking about the country and the world. You know, that it’s not just people from Florida that go to the parks there, right? Actually, masks help stop the spread, it just various by mask type. That’s why they also suggested social distancing to make sure that you have the best chance at not getting COVID. Problem is that people don’t follow all the suggestions they have to help stop the spread. It’s honestly human nature. If people were to get fully vaccinated though, who knows, numbers may truly drop and stay down.

    2. Me

      Poor little Branch Covidian.

    3. Kate

Florida is not a mess at all. We have had one of the lowest rates of covid. But please by all means, stay where you are. We don’t need you spreading it down here.

      1. Ken

Yeah, except the Florida numbers are wrong.

  3. N.

    This is awful news!

  4. Marlon

I was gearing up to start scheduling a trip, but I’ll think twice about that now. Somewhere that is back to normal instead I think.

  5. Tacky Taco

Well, guess I’ll be going somewhere else then. Vacations cost too much to be miserable the whole time.

    1. Loana

We are STILL in a pandemic! I’m a passholder and I stopped going when they lifted the mask Mandate. Glad that they are being responsible again. If you don’t like it, I don’t care because I believe in Science and this vaccine. Stay home with your “freedom” 😁

      1. Me

You stopped going and you weren’t missed. Stay home hiding under your table.

  6. David

If people stay away, see how fast universal change it mind? Money talks.

  7. Tim

How is this a bad thing? Masks slow the spread of COVID, which I would generally think is good. Shouldn’t people be happy that folks around them are masked up when omicron is gathering steam?

    1. Rodger

Omicron is already going away in South Africa where it started. Plenty of legit news sources talking about how it’s actually a milder strain.

  8. Bella

Since I’m going on vacation in 3 weeks I’m very glad to hear that the mask policy is been reinstated.

  9. SN

Imagine being angry that precautions are being taken to help keep staff and guests safe. Good for Universal.

  10. Rodger

Since I can’t change my plans, I’ll just make sure to minimize my time in the hotel and spend my money only on places I don’t have to wear a mask to eat and drink. The mask can come down during the ride and go back up as I leave. It’s what we did when the useless mask had to be worn everywhere there.

    1. John

Except the mask isn’t useless— selfish people can’t “sacrifice” even a little for the greater good. Masks DO work. No, I don’t enjoy them either and hope we don’t need them in the future but seriously grow up.

      1. Mike

Not all masks work. The right masks work, N95, the ones they wear in hospitals to protect from germs. The ones you or grandma made from the bed sheets are useless. And this vaccine is a lie too. At the beginning Biden, Fauci and all the hacks said if you get the vaccine, you will not get the virus and you cannot spread the virus. Now they are are saying, if you get the vaccine then you are less likely to die from the virus. They keep moving the goalposts so how am I to trust the science if they keep changing what they are saying.

        1. Ken

No one says the vaccine means you cannot get the virus. That has never been the case for any vaccine.

  11. I’m very happy Universal adopted the new measures. People are so selfish not masking up and putting workers and other guests in danger.

  12. Jordan

Funny how so many people are getting upset about this and saying they won’t go now. It’s literally for your protection so things can go back to normal. But hey, if you don’t want to go, fine by me. My friends and I will have less people to wait behind when we get in line 🙂

  13. Sully

Snowflakes whining about a private business trying to keep people safe. TRIGGERED!

  14. Carlos Mitchell

I was there last month and was surprised there wasn’t a mask mandate. I wore a mask the entire time, in and outdoors.

To all the snowflakes upset by the mask mandate, stay home then.

    1. Loana

      Exactly ☺️ ☺️ ☺️

    2. Mike

There are snowflakes on both sides princess.

  15. Robbin

Wearing a mask means that you take the health & safety of those with compromised immune systems into account. I for one don’t see the issue.
Are masks 😷 a pain in the rear, sure. Are they 100% effective, not really. It’s the effort that is put forth in an attempt to protect.

    1. Mike

Maybe the immuno compromised and those who are scared should wear the N95 mask when they venture out so the rest of us who are vaxxed and not scared of the virus live our lives in the freedom this country was founded on.

      1. Ken

Except public health mandates have always been part of society. Supreme Court even ruled on it

  16. Nadine

We were planning NOT going to universal because of the “mask optional” policy. So glad that they care enough about their employees and guests to do this. This puts Universal back on the table for us.

A mask does not stop you from getting out there and living life! Dying from Covid does.

  17. Beth H.

My husband and I are both in our 60s with underlying health issues. We spent a day recently at Disney Springs and had no problem accepting their mask mandates. We were still able to enjoy the day both inside and outside.

  18. 3pawdogmom

Not going back until the mask requirement is dropped again. Your cheap Harry Potter mask does nothing but make you feel better, it protects no one. It’s their right to do it, but I doubt it will last.

  19. DB

If you don’t wear a mask it could cost you your life and your family’s life or could potentially make you a murderer…just sayIng

  20. Tim C

A lot of people complaining about a minor inconvenience. It seems many have just given in to even trying to stem the spread. I wear a mask in all indoor environments and I appreciate others showing me the courtesy of doing the same. The mask is to lessen the spread of your germs to others. Thank you for being responsible.

    1. Mike

Depends on the mask. 95% of the masks the average person wears does no good.

      1. Ken

Cool..peer reviewed study proving your claim.
