Maybe if the Disney company had not required all CM’s (including the teleworking phone center employees) to be Vaxed or Quit, then maybe they’d have enough CM’s to help guests.

Two neighbors of mine were CM’s, one of which worked as a ride operator, and the other at Animal Kingdom at the Vet Hospital. My AK friend did not want the shot because she has various medical allergies – but Disney still made her leave. She had been working at AK for over ten years, and said that she knew of a least another dozen of her co-workers who had to “quit” because of the Vax refusal.

I had even applied to be a call center person, as I live only 20min from the Tampa office and have experience – got a nice “no thank you” email… So… they must NOT want to get those roles filled very badly. Disney lost hundreds of employees, in WDW and the Tampa call center alone, so yes, Disney deserves to be the center of negative attention for this – it’s their fault.

Disney needs to do something NOW to get more call center operators. I just did a 5 hour hold for a Disney customer service rep and multiple 5 MINUTE calls to Universal Orlando, both regarding upcoming trips. The universal phone experience was easily the best. Even got disconnected at one point and was able to call right back. This is not the same Disney customer service that they’ve been known for.

  4. They are experiencing high turn over because the guests coming are POed. WDW cheapness is making people mad. Additionally, people are calling to have the cast member explain genie+. Watch a video on youtube

I want to know why when I changed my party ticket reservation from a tier 3 ticket that cost $134 to a date with tier 1 tickets at a cost of $104 Disneyland won’t refund me the difference in the costs of the ticket? They said they offer no refunds when I change my tickets from higher tier to a lower tier.

We did the same thing, when our dates changed going to Disneyland in October. We went from a Tier 1 to a Tier 2, and paid the difference (just $10/ea). They’re more than happy to take your money, but NEVER give it back … And let me tell you, the process to change the tickets was painful, had to prove I had the tix in the first place so I wouldn’t get double-charged! But I did get my full Tier 1 tix refund back – again, only AFTER proving that I had bought the new tix … took about two days, and I was nervous about my $450, let me tell you!

But the CM on the chat (not on the phone) was patient and helpful … I’d suggest trying the chat – which also takes hours to get into – but at least I’m not listening to the same hold music over and over. I did the buying while I was on the chat – used a laptop for the site, in fear of accidentally closing the chat window! And was able to give her the payment details in real-time…

If you’re going to be on a phone call with a Disney person, I would suggest doing that, have another source of tech available besides your phone. Because if you’re trying to use the App or the website, on the phone you’re using to do the talking – things could be difficult.

It’s Chapekland – cut costs, staff, imagineering budgets, and turn around and charge guests 2 to 4 times what we used to pay for everything – from food, merch, APs, tickets. I was on hold for over 6 hours. Dr Evil is looking at the bottom line and only the bottom line. He couldn’t give 1 churro if any guest is unhappy, dissatisfied, or priced out. Wait til the guests start reporting back about how awful the SW Starcruiser hotel is – that should give the board enough to fire him. Please.

Disney is commanding super premium prices for an experience that is at its poorest quality of the past 30 years.

Been going to Disney regularly since the mid-1990s, and even before covid, I had begun pulling back. Crowds are a nightmare, which I fault to Disney’s failure to build a new park in the US since 2001. There’s just not enough park capacity to meet demand.

I’ve gone from two week trips staying on property, to staying just two nights on property for my upcoming holiday trip. I’ll spend just one day at a Disney park. Instead, I booked several nights at an new, offsite five star luxury hotel (a real luxury hotel) at a fraction of the cost of a Disney VALUE RESORT. And I’ll do other activities in Orlando, and spend a day at Universal.

Does anyone notice how so many people say something is unacceptable just after having done it? Doesn’t that mean it was just acceptable?
