I’ve never seen a company that still has merchandise from the past sell it at a lower than the original price. Too bad there isn’t some kind of precedent for this kind of thing.
Oh yeah, it happens all the time. Generally, not with companies/merch that is in as high demand, but it does happen.
While I am a huge Disney fan I have continued to learn time and time again shop disney is the worst online retailer hands down. Broken, late, sold out, pay for returns and shipping. Overpriced poor quality. The list goes on.
What a bunch of insecure whiners. Who really cares. If you’re trying to get something and flip it for a profit then good on you. If you are a collector and now you have the chance to get something you previously missed out on, even better. Deal with life as it comes to you.
This is Disney’s way of dealing with resellers that buy limited merchandise and then charge exorbitant prices. Disney wants to be the only one making a profit off their wares
I can’t understand why people get so obsessed with this stuff. I can understand collecting something that brings you joy, but to act insane, spend way too much money on THINGS, stress out if you miss out for WHATEVER reason is just nuts. All the while, Disney laughs all the way to the bank. Certainly there are other things in life that are more meaningful than token items with a character on it just to say you have one 🤷♀️
Especially this level of “stuff”. The entitlement of the Facebook comments printed here is next level! Maybe next year they should do Stitch branded houses for the homeless.
They are stuffed toys, people. Not a necessity of life. I saw plenty of these on the shelves during a visit to Disneyland last year, thought they were cool but had no idea they were collectibles and in such high demand, otherwise I would have bought out the stock and resold them myself!
Exactly! In the meantime, there are homeless veterans wondering where their next meal is coming from and children are being trafficked…but let us put our efforts, emotions and money into battling over useless tchotchkes that literally perpetuate and fund the atrocities against humanity. *sigh*
Well said AB, Very well said 🥳🎉👏🏼🥳🎉👏🏼🥳🎉👏🏼 This “DISNEY COLLECTING” is for the birds 🦅 & it was Supposed to be for the KIDS & then ALL THE ADULTS messed it up & then they wonder 🤔🤔🤔What just happened 🤣🤣🤣🤣I started collecting Belle Disney Barbies back in 1993 when I had gotten married. That story was my ex husband & I’s life in how we met & then married. He was Belle & I was Beast. The storyline hit close to my heart & home. That’s what started my collecting of her, but when we divorced back in 2001 (but finally ended Everything in 2006) my Love for collecting her & the movie was done. Just like a chapter in our lives.
This is the most outrageous thing that has ever happened or ever will happen. Rest assured, I will spend every spare moment on the internet registering my disgust throughout the world.
So there were items that people desperately wanted to get but couldn’t find, which came back later, and when they finally were available they were more affordable, and people complain about that. Amazing.

The ideal solution- Don’t buy the stuff. But we addicts will continue to shell out money
