When it comes to how much Marvel stars make, the topic of discussion was not so heated until price tags began to reveal themselves. The latest Scarlett Johansson and Disney lawsuit revealed how much the Black Widow star was making and how her bonus’ worked.
Well, for those who are curious about the other Avengers, what they made, depending on which movie, is not a big secret — and some of the payouts will shock you. Just Jaredrecently released a list of how much many of the Hollywood A-listers in the MCU made, and the price tags are high.
For example, Chris Hemsworth, who plays superhero Thor, made 15 million on Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). Interestingly, however, for his original film Thor (2011), the Marvel actor only pulled in $150,000. We can see these massive increases with a lot of different Marvel actors, with the biggest difference coming from Robert Downey Jr.
Below is a list of multiple films where Robert played Tony Star/Iron Man. We can see that in the latest film listed, he made a whopping $75 million, but in his original movie Iron Man, he made $500,000. Not all movies are listed, including his most recent and final film, Avengers: End Game (2019).
Movie: Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Salary: $75 million (including box-office bonuses and backend compensation)
Movie: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Salary: $5 million (for three days of work!)
Movie: The Avengers (2012) Salary: $50 million (including box-office bonuses and backend compensation)
Movie: Iron Man (2008) Salary: $500,000

After looking at this list, one thing that stuck out was what Robert made on Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) for only three days of work. The actor pulled in $5 million for three days of work on the film, which is more than Chadwick Boseman made on Black Panther ($2 million).
