Hong Kong Disneyland’s one day closure has turned into a multi-day closure, as the Park extends the reopening date to Friday, November 19, as opposed to today.
After a government-issued request was stated that all Guests and Cast Members who were present at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort on a specific date must take a mandatory coronavirus test. This comes shortly after Shanghai Disneyland experienced a similar testing operation after an outbreak was detected of COVID-19 in their Park, shutting it down.
In an abundance of caution, Hong Kong Disneyland Park will be closed on Nov 17 (Wed) to ensure relevant Cast Members can complete the test sooner. Guests who planned to visit the park on Nov 17 are advised to visit on another day.
The government issued a compulsory testing notice requiring any persons who were present at the park at any time during the period from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Nov 14 (Sun) to undergo compulsory testing for COVID-19 on or before Nov 18 (Thu).
Now, when looking on the Hong Kong Disneyland website, we can see that the Park continues to remain closed and is set to reopen tomorrow. We have recently seen the Park close due to extreme weather, as well.
Hong Kong Disneyland Park will open on Nov 19 (Fri) with health & safety measures. All guests entering the park are required to undergo temperature screening, wear face masks & scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” QR code or register contact details as required by the regulations.
