When you visit Universal Orlando Resort, most of the time, you will be met with an immaculate theme park. Team Members do a fantastic job ensuring that all areas are always looking fabulous and sanitary so that Guests can focus on the stunning details and attractions that the Park has to offer.
That being said, you cannot always control what Guests will do.
At Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, there are bathrooms around every turn. This is so that Guests can easily find a bathroom whenever they need to use one, without having to travel too far from the land or attraction they are exploring. The bathrooms are all massive, offering Guests many stalls and sinks to use, so that long waits are rare.
Recently, we have heard reports of Guests deciding not to use the bathroom’s provided for them and urinating publically in the Park. Of course, this is forbidden at Universal and, if caught, will leave a Guest in serious trouble. Inside the Magic spoke with Blake Peterson, who said about one account of public urination that was experienced while in the queue of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
There was another Guest who decided to move her shorts to the side while in line and began visibly urinating in public. Blake noted that it started right before entering the castle but continued into the first room. The Guests had to take their phones out and use their flashlights in order to ensure that they and their party were not stepping in any of the urination. Peterson recalled exchanging a look of shock with the Guests in front of them, as they could not believe what they were witnessing.
Blake noted that it seemed the Guest who was publicly urinating was inebriated. The Team Members swiftly and professionally dealt with the situation as soon as they were informed. It appears that the attraction was closed shortly afterwards, likely for cleaning of the area.
Please note that you can leave the line and visit the nearest restroom if you ever have to use the bathroom while waiting for an attraction. When you return, as long as you inform at Team Member, they will allow you to rejoin your party. You can also ask a Team Member in line for the nearest bathroom.
Interestingly enough, that is not the only account we have heard of when it comes to publicly urinating. We also spoke with Jay Monet, who recalled an incident of public urination where a young boy was relieving himself outside of E.T. Adventure, just by the exit. The shocking thing about this is that there are bathrooms nearby, and it would have been easy for his parents to bring him to use a toilet.
Again, please be sure always to use the designated bathrooms at Universal Orlando Resort not only to protect yourself but the Guests around you, as well as the health and safety of the Team Members who have to clean any mess. Failure to do so could have you removed from the Park and in more severe trouble.
