Disney wants to help Guests create truly memorable photos that bring back happy memories, so they have PhotoPass Photographers located throughout all of their Parks. PhotoPass Photographers create fun poses for Guests and can add special magic shots to sprinkle pixie dust onto your photos with fun additions like rainbows and Disney characters.
Now, Disney is bringing something even more exciting to its PhotoPass service offerings — augmented reality. As part of its team up with Snap (formerly Snapchat), Guests will be able to access amazing new lenses when they purchase Disney Genie+. When Guests purchase Disney Genie+, they are also given unlimited PhotoPass downloads for that day.

The lenses are also a special way to capture memories during The World’s Most Magical Celebration, the incredible 18-month event commemorating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
Whether you’re in your Disney Resort hotel room, traveling on the Disney Skyliner or waiting for the character cavalcade to begin, you can capture photos and videos with Disney PhotoPass Lenses to your heart’s content. While many Disney PhotoPass Lenses can be used across Walt Disney World Resort, others like the Remy lens will be available exclusively in specific areas of the parks.
The fun continues even after your Disney vacation – you can also enjoy some Disney PhotoPass Lenses up to 45 days after the day you visit with Disney Genie+ service, including one of our favorites, which lets you recreate one of the most iconic scenes from “Lady and the Tramp.” Just open the My Disney Experience app and be sure to try it with your dog or cat!
For those who do not wish to purchase Disney Genie+ — or are not currently visiting Walt Disney World Resort — there are several complementary lenses that Guests can use through the Snap app on their phone.
