Guest Favorite Disney Attraction Broke Down and Never Reopened This Morning - Inside the Magic

When Guests visit Disney World, there are a few attractions that almost everyone wants to ride.

When Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Rise of the Resistance was still being awaited by Guests. Once the attraction was available, Guests would arrive hours before Park open to ensure they would be in the Park on time to snag Boarding Pass on their My Disney Experience app. Now, you can do that from the comfort of your hotel room, but if you did it today, things may not have turned out as you would have hoped.

It seems that Rise of the Resistance has yet to open after being closed since the Park opened. If we look at our My Disney Experience app, we can see that the attraction is still shut down. Even if the ride begins running again today, it seems unlikely that all those with a Boarding Pass would be able to experience it.

Although unfortunately, the ride has been shut down all day, Guests who are hoping to ride should keep their eyes peeled on the My Disney Experience app as it will show that the ride is open as soon as it can once again hold Guests.

At this time, Guests are required to join the virtual queue to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. A standby queue is not available. The virtual queue is limited and subject to availability.

Rise of the Resistance does tend to break down often, but we do not see full-day closures too often; hopefully, it will reopen for Guests at one point today.
