I liked Primeval Whirl, but something’s in the works.
Not sure if they even have an idea yet, but SOMETHING’S coming, as soon as they finish with Epcot.
We got the infamous Paul Pressler “If it’s good enough for Six Flags…” kids’ fairground areas with Dinoland at AK and A Bug’s Land at DCA, at around the same time–
But now that A Bug’s Land has been demolished for Avengers Campus, there may be less reason to keep its east coast counterpart active.
There’s already been on-again-off-again appearances and disappearances of Dinosaur-ride merchandise at the AK stores, and the whole area may be in for a revamp.
It would make sense for Dinosaur to become an Indy ride and that whole area to re-theme to Indiana Jones.
That doesn’t make any sense at all. This is ANIMAL Kingdom. What does Indiana Jones have to do with any of that?
The Indiana Jones area of Disney Sea is incredible. It would fit right in. Jungle roller coasters, Adventure trails and the Indy ride that Dinosaur is a kind of cheap imitation of. Plus Universal really have the Dinos covered! It does make a bit of sense. Maybe more than Avatar or Everest if you’re talking animals. You’ll definitely get snakes and rats! 🙂
That would be awesome! It would fit right in!
I hope they don’t get rid of the Dinosaur ride. I love that ride, and I loved Primeval Whirl. I’m really sad to see it go.
So sad to see this go. The girls and I loved it. It always seemed crowded so it can’t be that the ride was not popular. Hopefully there will be another ride in its place, that area needs it.
I truly loved this ride and that whole area actually. I am just old enough to remember Upstate NY having several of these types of tourist stops so I have a soft spot for it. The ride itself threw you around to the point of uncontrollable laughter similar to Mater’s Junkyard in Disneyland. Horrible for my aging back but I will miss it. As to what they will replace it with? I am not sure they will even replace it.
I always thought this area was a bit weird and out of place, hopefully they’ll alter the theming of the area so it is more in keeping with the rest of the park.
