I agree with this 1000%. This was our issue at WDW in Aug 21. We had park hopper tkts. Since our visit was only 2 days, we decided to visit AK then HS for ROTR. I kept trying to get in the Virtual cue, couldn’t. Said second round opened at 1pm. Couldn’t because we weren’t in HS. We dashed over, got to the park, was told it wasn’t 2pm. Waited until 2pm, got in the park, boarding ended up being at 7:45pm. There wasn’t a standby line which would have been extremely helpful so we rode what we could & went to MK. Pissed because I waited two years to be robbed by the Park Hopper restrictions. I hope they get rid of the restrictions, if not, they need to reduce the Park hopper price because you aren’t getting the same value. J/S.

I think the 2:00 PM PH start time is fine. If riding ROTR is your priority and you weren’t able to make it in the 7:00 AM virtual queue time, I would hope that only those that decided to make DHS their first park that day would have first/only chance at the 1:00 PM virtual queue.

How would you have felt if you started your day at DHS and needed to 1:00 PM virtual queue, but a PH guest got in the queue, and you were not able to?

If you let park hopping start straight away, it would lead to a loop hole. For example booking Epcot when Hollywood Studios was fully booked for the day, you could literally sign in at Epcot and then head straight over to the fully booked Hollywood Studios to get access. Disney wants to EVENLY distribute people to ALL of the parks. They don’t want Hollywood Studios maxed out, but another park empty as it’s a waste of their resources.

The more I read about all of these restrictions and rules, the less I want to return to WDW
