I think it’s kind of bizarre. Jessica is great but not exactly the role-model type (not like Tiana). Maybe the whole motivation of this was to inject new life into a Toontown ride while we wait for what we are really looking forward to. (M-I-C-K-E-Y ……..)

      …U-G-L-Y Reboot.

I’m no fan of Disney’s brief unhappy late-80’s love affair with Roger Rabbit, but let’s let the east coast Studios take their lumps with the trendy mistake of Runaway Railway, and not infect Walt’s park with it.

I’m pretty sure this is Woke Disney’s attempt to make her less of a woman in distress and clearly show her as a powerful figure… While also conveniently wrapping her in a trench coat, because we can’t shiw cleavage in a kids ride.

If somehow this change makes you feel better about the world you live in then I feel really, really bad for you.

Jessica Rabbit is the perfect role model for little girls. She is a reflection of the reality of growing up female: sexualized against our will, yet fierce, determined, loyal and loving – and ready and willing to kick some ass when needed. I can totally see Jessica becoming a private detective after realizing that humans are too prejudiced to do anything to help ‘toons out (and the racial undertones are not lost on me). If you are the somehow this sort of change makes you feel worse about the world you live in then I feel really, really bad for you. (No, actually I don’t. I think its hilarious that you’re hurt over an amazing update.) I really hope this leads to a series of Jessica Rabbit shorts – in the vein of the Tow Mater and Mickey shorts.

      What utter nonsense.

I can’t tell, are you a troll or just completely out of your mind.

Exactly, Sarah! I’ve personally always loved Jessica. If anything she has the perfect role model for love; since her relationship with Roger has always been about, quote “making her laugh”, as opposed to anything sexual. They love each other despite what they are, not because of it. Jessica is THE perfect woman, not because of her looks, but accomplishments.

I am so psyched they’re putting new life to this ride. I love this movie, and do not believe everything has to be g-rated at a Disney park. It just isn’t that serious. It’s fun

Nothing should change. Contrary to what those “fans” believe. A classic like Jessica Rabbit is never out of date. And remember she’s not bad she’s just drawn that way

This is, imo, their best dark ride. I’m sickened by the number of haters on here. WFRR is a triumph of cinema, from both a technical perspective and as a good piece of moviemaking in general. I’d rather have Disney take steps to erase some of its adult edge for the park than to cast these characters out of their own land. I would not be fine with Disney deleting Jessica and Baby Herman with no replacements, though. This sounds like a Jungle Cruise update in that what’s being trashed is probably more elaborate than the replacement it’s getting. However, I’d rather have these elements from the ride replaced with something rather than nothing. I hope Roger is still the hero and main focus of the ride, but we didn’t see enough Jessica in the original incarnation. She’s a great character who deserves a comeback. I’m sure Disney will want cheap replacements to certain ride elements (as we’ve seen so far with the barrels of DIP in Smarty’s car), but I really hope they spend the extra simolians to get Kathleen Turner back in the recording booth.

With all the great new disney movies that have come out, I wonder why they chose to revamp this outdated movie?

Because the movie is amazing. Seriously if you dont like this movie you are FORBIDDEN for every enjoying anything ever again.

  8. Laura

I am sick of Disney rewriting story. The ride is based on a movie not real life. Enough is enough.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with Jessica rabbit. What do some people want to see, her cup changed to A size and her 5 feet tall? People come in all shapes and sizes. My boyfriend once said I looked like Jessica Rabbit when I had red hair.

Change is good “IF” it’s the Right kind of change. Jessica Rabbit is a Staple in the movie “Who framed Roger Rabbit.” It’s his Wife. I personally see nothing wrong with this change. “IF” they’re changing her just to cover her up, now THAT’S THE WRONG KIND OF CHANGE. She was drawn a certain way for this movie and there are REAL WOMEN out in this world today who have Beautiful figures like hers. Are we going to keep covering up these women too? Of course not. I agree with one comment on here that Disney needs to add more adult family movies than always just Children movies. I’m a mother of 4 Grown adult children and a Grandmother of 8 grandchildren and there needs to be a Balance of both Children’s movies and adult movies by Disney. Just like how I Love the MC Universe that Disney has taken under there wings and have ran with them. I’m not to thrilled on the bad language, but it’s geared toward a more mature crowd and I like the differences. To me “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is more towards the Mature audience so Jessica fits right in. Go ahead and make the changes. Good for them, but I’m not to thrilled about the Splash Mountain revamp. I’m tired of ALL THE WHYING AND COMPLAINING about being Politically Incorrect. Why try to fix something that isn’t broken and that ride Wasn’t broken. It’s the people’s thinking is broken.
