So we can’t have Splash Mountain or headhunters in The Jungle cruise because it isn’t culturally appropriate, but we can have a scantily clad woman as a lead in an attraction that should be about Roger Rabbit that is literally sexualizing her, how does this make any sense?

    1. Carey

I couldn’t agree with you more!

    2. Bob

You watch. She’ll be in a trench coat with a hat and a magnifying glass.

      1. Phil

I was trying to figure out the woke mental gymnastics needed for the change. Even as a young kid, the busty Jessica Rabbit felt awkward for Toon Town and kids in general.

If they actually do put a her in a giant, unrevealing trench coat, I will be laughing and groaning for days.

Just get rid of the whole ride!!! The movie is horrible and outdated, the ride even worse. Disney is better than this ride.

    1. Angry Soviet

That’s just it, they aren’t better anymore!

    2. Chris

The ride is actually really well done and it is a great movie…..the attraction does not need this change.

    3. Daryl-Rhys Taylor

Well you have no taste. Never have a thought again.

    4. No change needed

I’m not saying you’re wrong but you’re wrong. The movie is amazing and so is the ride. There is absolutely no need for the update.

How about also getting rid of Pinocchio’s Daring Journey as well. The ride isn’t appropriate for kids and the donkeys in cage scene is too disturbing and upsetting and the creepy clowns makes some people scared.

I personally want to see Pinocchio’s Daring Journey at Disneyland get replaced with Tangled ride or Frozen Ride. I would enjoy those Disney Princess rides more.

  3. Stewie

More woke BS from Disney? Shocking, lol! Getting tired of this “all females, gays or POCs are better than Caucasian hetero men” nonsense, ugh

  4. M

Seriously, Disney needs to clean house. It’s being over run by crazies. Universal Studios is looking better everyday.

  5. HONEST John

And cue ridiculous outrage from white males in 3, 2… oh they started already.

    1. Joseph Kastner

You already have the jump because you have your granny panties in a bunch because there is an attractive female characters that doesn’t fit your twisted world view.

    2. M

What the hell does White males have to do with this?! You are a moron. Seek help.

    3. HONEST Lisa

john don’t you have mental health issues that need attending?

  6. Jj

This is merely a fancy way of saying they’re worried a woman in any vulnerable is too sexist now and did a half-@assed “update” a la Jungle Cruise, Pirates.

  7. Chris

My point is calling out the absurd here, on one hand, we can’t have natives, splash mountain, etc., but on the other, we can have a scantily clad woman taking over a ride that doesn’t need the change…..it makes no sense.

I take not issue with the idea or her outfit, other than it isn’t necessary, but given all of the PC stuff lately, this makes no sense.

  8. Adam

I wish they’d put this creativity into making the second level work. It’s such a great ride! I was so fascinated to hear that there was a balcony level as well.

  9. CrosswalkX

How about if Disneyland changes Pinocchio’s Daring Journey ride. The ride is also problematic. I would really like Disneyland to remove the donkeys in cages scene and make Pinocchio’s Daring Journey less scary and more family friendly if they do decide to retheme it.

A second option, I would actually like to see Pinocchio’s Daring Journey ride get replaced by Disney’s Frozen ride. Or Tangled ride, I would enjoy those rides more.
