Between requiring masks indoors and schools starting back up, this should be the new normal for a while.

Perhaps word of mouth of the ride being subpar could be a factor?
In fact the “Avengers Campus” as a whole has been collectively very underwhelming among visitors. Another cheap misstep from Corporate Disney .

Honestly, was there just a few days ago and seeing how long the line was in addition to already getting a boarding pass is what kept us from ever riding it. I’ve heard it was so so and after riding rise we decided to make that our priority. The day we started at DCA would have been our first choice but we were distracted at 7am and didn’t get in. The li e is long and in the direct sunlight. That’s a pass for me.

Agreed! You get a boarding pass, then show up for the ride, still have to wait well over an hour in an, truly, endless queue for a ride that is the same as Toy Story? Virtual Queue should be ‘show up at this time and ride now’ not 1.5 hours from now. HUGE waste of time for a big fat MEH!

I am zero surprised by this. Virtual queue & boarding groups are fine when the attraction is worth it (looking at you, Rise of the Resistance) but WEB Slingers was the worst experience we had in our three days there. We waited in line for well over an hour then the ride broke down and rebooted several times while we just sat there for about 20 minutes staring at the wall. We deboarded and got back in line to reboard, waited another 20 minutes, sat down, move 5 feet and the system crashed again. The staff were extremely apologetic but Guardians of the Galaxy: BREAKOUT! is the only thing keeping the Avengers Campus afloat.
