When planning your Disneyland vacation, one of the most important aspects of your trip is where you are going to spend your nights when you are not in the theme parks. There are three Disney-owned and operated hotels on Disneyland property — Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Due to the fact that Disneyland is a major tourist draw for the city of Anaheim, there are also a number of hotels located close to the Resort, but not on Disneyland property. The hotels run in all price ranges, to fit all budgets, but those looking to go all out for their upcoming Disney trips now have two more hotels that they can add to their list of options — the JW Marriott and the Westin Anaheim Resort, both of which recently received Four Diamond ratings from AAA.

If you are unfamiliar with the AAA Diamond Rating system, Visit Anaheim shared more information about the program and how hotels can earn the coveted Four Diamond Rating:

The Four Diamond Designation from AAA requires luxury amenities and great service including fine dining amid upscale ambiance. AAA’s professional inspections include details of the room, bathrooms, and public spaces such as the lobby, pool areas, and restaurants. With Four Diamond Designation status, guests can feel at ease knowing the resort has been AAA inspected and approved.

The Diamond program which is based on quality, cleanliness, and condition, is now even stronger with the addition of surface testing. The addition of surface testing provides an objective and scientific validation of the physical inspection, confirming that a hotel meets AAA standards for cleanliness.

Both the JW Marriott and the Westin Anaheim Resort have beautiful rooftop bars that have views of Disneyland. Some rooms at each hotel also come with theme park views — but you should be prepared to pay more if you want those premium views.

The JW Marriott is located at GardenWalk in Anaheim — which is within walking distance to the Disneyland Resort as it is only about two miles away — and has been open for just about one year. The Westin Anaheim Resort is also just a couple of miles from Disneyland, so you can walk the distance if you choose, and has only been open since June 2021.
