    Of note, I’d usually calculate the cost comparison differently. $190,824,688.57 compared with $1,803,131.06 means that the ride cost 105x more than the film production, or a 10,500% difference as compared to the original.

    Alternatively, one could say that the original film’s budget was just under 1% of the ride’s cost.

    However, I’m not sure the mathematical explanation you gave is true: a 99% increase over the original would mean that the ride cost ($1,803,131.06 * 1.99 =) $3,588,231 to build.
