    Funny how my flight was not and took off during a storm. Heading into a storm and Tornado warch in New Jersey. I missed the flight w/My 11 yr old Granddaughter due to nasty ppl trying to cut line and wasting time going through security. Leaving her in tears thinking she was not getting home to her mom. We did fly out the next morning w. delays but the flight crew were nice. Will we fly again. No she has had enough. Even going to the Airport in both AC and Orlando early ( AC was so much better w/ extra nice ppl… Orlando airport is nasty), Sorry we are done.

      Florida had 21 000 new Covid positive tests 7/31. Disney will wait.

      Spirit Airlines, una vez más ha fallado. Yo viajaba el Domingo 1 de Agosto y durante el día recibimos tres notificaciones de atrasos de nuestro vuelo a Newark. Nos notificaron que nuestro vuelo había sido cancelado era para las 3:30 pm más o menos, y la última notificación que recibimos fue para informarnos que el vuelo saldria a las 5:10pm si no me equivoco y eso nunca sucedió, no pudimos viajar. Nosotros estábamos en el aeropuerto desde las 2:15pm, nos encontramos con la gran sorpresa, todos los vuelos de Spirit fueron cancelados, yo estaba con mi esposa, mis dos hijos y mi nieta de 5 años. Estuvimos en línea, más de 13 horas, desde las 2pm salimos a las 3:30am más o menos. Cuando llegamos al counter la persona que nos asistió era muy joven, estaba super nervioso y de verdad que es lamentable ya que no es la culpa de ellos. Habíamos más de 1,000 en línea. Aquello era horrible, gracias a Dios a pesar de todo no se formó nada fuera de control, si habíamos personas muy enojadas, pero nada fuera de control. Cuando llegamos al counter nos consiguieron un vuelo para el siguiente día a las 7:40pm por otra línea aérea American Airlines. Tuvimos que una noche terrible para conseguir un Hotel a donde quedarnos, por fin conseguimos un Hotel, el otro problema era conseguir transportación ya que eran como las 4am y no habían Taxi a esa hora, de casualidad paso una Minivan y era un Taxi que paso de pura casualidad. Nosotros éramos los únicos afuera del Airport en ese momento. Pero gracias a Dios pudimos conseguir un Hotel. El día siguiente era el día 2 de Agosto, el cumpleaños de mi hija y lo celebramos entre en el aeropuerto mi nieta, mi esposa, mi hijo y yo le cantamos Happy Birthday, esa fue como.mi hija paso el día de su cumpleaños. Para terminar, ni viajamos por Spirit, ni por American Airlines, viajamos por Jetblue y con destino a La Guardia, y nuestro vuelo era por Newark. Gracias a Dios hoy día Agosto 3, ya estamos en la casa. Llegamos a las 12:30am de esta madrugada. Jamás pienso viajar por la Línea Spirit. No es la primera vez que hay problemas con esa línea aérea. De 1 a 5 estrellas le doy a Spirit 0 estrellas.

    In 2013 we were on a Disney vacation. My husband and myself, my daughter and our 4 grandchildren ( one was only 1 years old). Our flight out of Hartford ct. Was on South West. Although it was beautiful in Orlando there was a storm up north. We were to leave on Saturday then cancelled to Sunday. On Sunday were told they could not get us out until Wednesday due to so many cancelled flights. That meant a family of 7 needed hotel rooms, a rental car, and 3 meals a day for 4 extra days. South West would do nothing to assist us. The children also needed to get back to school on Monday. We ended up renting a large SUV and squeezed 7 people and luggage in and drove back toConn. At an expense of over 1,000. The air line did nothing to reimburse us!!!it was a nightmare to end our family vacation ?

    This is stupid to hide behind Covid and weather.If you can’t get your flights togather then stop taking reservations and shut the airport down until you can.Sounds as stupid as blaming this on Covid and weather hu ? Spirit Airlines is the bottom of the airline barrel.I have never and will never fly this so called airline.Frontier is just as bad.Do your self a favor and fly with a major proven airline or just don’t fly

    So, due to increased park capacity, flights got canceled? You make it sound as though Disney is at fault for these cancelations. Am I reading this right?

    Spirit had me and my husband stranded in Indianapolis airport they canceled three flights in one day. We flew from Orlando and spirit could not get us back to Orlando. It was totally ridiculous and they refused to put us with another airline. They did not assist us in getting back to Orlando we were stuck in Indianapolis for two days. So we rented a car that was very expensive and drove all the way back to Orlando. Some thing needs to be down about Spirit.
