In just a couple of short weeks, Halloween will officially be at the Disneyland Resort — pumpkin Mickey’s will be everywhere, Haunted Mansion Holiday will once again welcome Guests, and Oogie Boogie Bash will begin. Spooky season is truly an exciting time to be at Disneyland, especially this year since the theme parks could not celebrate the holiday last season due to the pandemic shutdown.

For those who may not remember the way the old Oogie Boogie looked, below is a picture of what used to greet Guests entering the theme park during the Halloween season.

While the Oogie Boogie sign does not seem to be complete at this time, it is exciting to see some new elements, including Oogie Boogie’s signature green hue and some new pumpkins surrounding the popular villain.

In addition to the exciting new Oogie Boogie design, there are a number of other fun events that will be happening at Disneyland Resort beginning on September 3. In addition to Oogie Boogie Bash and Haunted Mansion Holiday, Halloween Screams will make its seasonal return.

In the past, Halloween Screams was originally only shown to Guests attending Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park. However, when Mickey’s Halloween Party left and Oogie Boogie Bash took over Disney California Adventure in 2019, Halloween Screams became the nightly fireworks show that all Guests would be able to enjoy.

Fireworks are not the only Halloween fun that Guests can have at Disneyland — some of your favorite Disney characters will be wearing their Halloween best, and maybe even some costumes! You may be able to see Daisy as a witch, Goofy as a ghost, and even Mater as a vampire. And be sure to be on the lookout for some residents of Halloween Town, like Jack and Sally.

There will also be some exciting ride overlays to go along with the Haunted Mansion Holiday. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission – BREAKOUT! will transform into the popular Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Cars Land will also see a makeover with Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becoming Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will become Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
