Netflix’s Marvel series do or as Disney would now have it, did take place in the MCU. If you watch all the Netflix Marvels they make references to the movies, but carefully, Dishonest obviously had bigger revenue planned. They bought Fox for the Xmen, surprised they don’t buy Sony for Spiderman, but funny the Universal parks own rights to a lot of Marvel, too. Must keep the Disney execs up a lot at night. You should watch the Netflix series if you want to write an article about them.

Dishonest should be Disney. And the Netflix series were better than the movies. Much more character development and interesting stories. More like a comic book lol

Each season of Daredevil has about 10-11 hours worth of film time. Of course there is going to be more character development. That kind of applies to almost any piece of film or TV that has about 5 times the runtime.

        1. Each season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had about 20 hours of runtime and it had twice as many seasons and yet Daredevil was still leaps and bounds with storytelling and character development.

    2. Yep. When asked about the Defenders appearing in Avengers, Kevin Feige said that they “however far on the outskirts, inhabit the same continuity”. She needs to get her facts straight. Netflix’s Daredevil is definitely one of the best things to ever be set in the MCU.

I’ve read two or three reboots of Daredevil over the years. I wouldn’t worry about the comics.

I first started reading Marvel Comics in the 70’s. I could barely do mire than look at the pictures and imagine what was going on. Things are so much different now. Marvel is a corporation. Corporations are driven by profit. Lots of profit. It’s sad that an iconic series like Dare Devil is no longer sustainable. I’m sure these decisions are made by people who stare at numbers all day and don’t have the intelligence to make profits outside of living off someone else’s legacy, giving the consumer less, charging them more, and down sizing. Once upon a time Marvel Comics was driven by creativity, innovation, a love for the medium, and it’s fans. Now like every other bloated corporate entity it’s only concern is lining the pockets of it’s owners/investors. Marvel Comics has died long ago and lije some perverse undead creature the corpse still lingers among the living.
