If you are a fan of the spooky season at Disney World, then you likely have been interested in what Boo Bash has to bring to the table this Halloween season.
Typically, Guests visiting Magic Kingdom from August through to October have the chance to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. However, this year, things are a little different. Disney is not holding their typical Halloween party but instead is holding an all-new After Hours event called Boo Bash.
Boo Bash has similar aspects to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including Guests dressing up, trick or treating, and special food options — but it is missing one big aspect. When it comes to events at Disney, a lot of the time, Guests have the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise from that event. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party always had event-specific merchandise. Although Boo Bash is just an After Hours Event, we have not seen any merchandise available that is specific to the event.
In the past, at Disney’s Villains After Hours event, we did see specific merchandise for the event, and with Boo Bash representing a holiday, many expected to see the same for this event. Since there has been no promotional material to show off event merchandise, and Guests attending have yet to see merchandise as well, it seems that Disney has chosen to forgo Halloween event merchandise this year.
Guests can, however, purchase Halloween merchandise that is available to all Guests and on shopDisney. For now, it looks like Disney is focusing a lot of their merchandise energy on the 50th anniversary, which begins on October 1. The 50th anniversary will have specific merchandise available to Guests to the celebration, and an entire section of the Disney store will be transformed into a 50th anniversary area.
