One of Disney’s most anticipated movies of the summer — The Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt — will premiere in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access on July 30. Premier Access on Disney+ will allow subscribers to pay an additional fee of $29.99 and then watch the movie as many times as they want for as long as they want. That price can really be worth it for families who would spend more on tickets (and all the concession snacks!) at a traditional theater.
However, some Disney+ subscribers do not like the idea of paying extra to watch a movie on a service that they are already paying for. For subscribers who fall into that category, Disney+ has released the date that The Jungle Cruise will be available to all Disney+ subscribers for no additional fee on the Disney+ website. The Jungle Cruise will be available to all Disney+ subscribers on November 12, 2021.
The Jungle Cruise is already generating a ton of buzz and excitement since it is based on the incredibly popular attraction of the same name that can be found at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disneyland even hosted the red carpet premiere of the movie on July 24 at the theme park’s Fantasyland Theater.
If you are unsure of just what the exciting new movie will be about, here is an official Disney description:
Join fan favorites Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt for the adventure of a lifetime on Disney’s Jungle Cruise, a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.
