I’m not not excited about it, but I’m not excited about it either, and this has NOTHING to do with the casting, it’s just because I’m bored of remakes, we’re finally getting original movies and they are far superior to any of the remakes or reimaginings. I know that they’re doing well at the box office when they’ve been released to the cinemas, but of the remakes so far I’d sooner just watch the originals. But, I will reserve judgement until I see the movie, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy Halle’s performance.

Stop telling my kids it’s not okay to be white! They should make new characters that are black or whatever that isn’t white. Stop converting white to other races. This is what creates racism. F*ck Disney, my kids will learn that they are okay with the skin color they were born with.

Get a grip. Lighten up. This movie, regardless of casting a black lead is NOT going to tell your kids, or anyone for that matter, that is not ok to be white. If anything it’s going to tell them it’s not ok to be half fish! lol

    2. Have you actually read the book? HCA describes her as clear skinned & delicate as a rose-leaf. She ain’t even white in the original
