We stayed at PO French Quarter in 2014 and I highly recommend it!
Yes, the rooms are not that large and it suffers from not having family suites or a table service which it sorely needs, but that is some gripes. (There is a table service restaurant at PO Riverside)
It is the smallest of all the resorts and to me has the most charm. The food court is fantastic and offers fresh made beignets in the morning and the pool area is very nice.
A huge plus is that there is boat service down to Disney Springs, and (at least while we were there) it was the first stop for the resort buses to the parks so there was always room (the buses then went over to PO Riverside for 3 more stops but were often full by the time that got around).
If you want a wonderful, somewhat quiet and relaxing resort that is great for couple or small families to me this is the best resort at Disney World, and the plus is that it’s a “moderate” price resort.
My family can not wait for POFQ to reopen! We had our 25th trip planned last summer and had to switch to a different resort on property. The same vibe just wasn’t there. We really miss POFQ and especially hope to see the same staff return. They are the magic at the heart of the resort.
Riverside Port Orleans resort is our favorite hotel. When we hear it is opening I personally will be booking a week stay.
We can’t wait to hear it is opening.
Going in May of 2022 and will transfer to one of these hotels the day they open. I so hope they are open before then. I have been to both of them and either one is good for me.
POFQ is Absolutely our favorite! Will be in Disney May 2022….will change reservations as soon as it opens. Their beignets are the BEST!! Have been to NewOrlens 1X, tried 3 different makers of beignets….POFQ are by far the best….
Love the charm of the resort and the smaller size. No matter which building you are in, it is not a long walk to where you need to go…always enjoy the boat ride to Disney Springs…..It will be nice to stay there again♡♡♡
My husband and I have been waiting for PO Riverside to reopen. We have stayed there many times. We love it. We highly recommend it. It’s beautiful and peaceful. ?Can’t wait.
We love both hotels. I wish Disney would recognize that families aren’t just 4 people and make it easier to travel on property without having to be DVC. Throw in some Murphy beds and let people enjoy a the resorts.
