Though many Disney World Resort hotels have reopened since the temporary closure last year, there are still some hotels that remain closed. In fact, the Port Orleans Resorts — Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter — have yet to reopen its doors to Guests.

Now, Disney may be thinking of finally reopening these Resort hotels as several construction permits have been filed recently.

Disney filed several permits all relating to general construction on both Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter. These permits include:

Though we do not know exactly what these permits are for, Disney could potentially be working on reopening these hotels to Guests. These Resort hotels have been closed since March 2020 when Walt Disney World closed due to the ongoing pandemic, meaning they would have to ensure the Resort hotels are in their best shape, so Guests can visit safely and comfortably.

Inside the Magic will update you as we get information regarding Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter.
