Sometimes, however, Guests may not be able to hop on the attraction of their choice instantly. Some rides at Disney World will temporarily close from time to time due to a maintenance issue on the attraction. If Disney needs to adjust something that cannot be done while the ride is in motion with Guests aboard, they will have to shut down the ride temporarily to do so.
Oftentimes, when a ride closes temporarily, Guests can still ride the attraction that day as closures promptly resumed. However, there are instances where closure can last hours or longer, so it is always good to keep an eye out on the My Disney Experience app to ensure you know exactly what attractions are available to Guests.

Located in Fantasyland, Peter Pan’s Flight is modeled after the classic ride at the Disneyland Resort in Southern California—one of the few remaining attractions that was operational on opening day in 1955.
