Even more dining locations are reopening at the Disneyland Resort this summer!
Disney Parks Blog shared in a Disneyland dining update on Thursday that Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park and the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland in Disneyland Park will be reopening very soon.
Carthay Circle Lounge — Alfresco Dining has been operating as a table service outdoor dining option since Buena Vista Street reopening to Guests in Novemebr 2020. Now, Disney has announced that Carthay Circle Restaurant (specifically the upstairs dining room) will be reopening on July 22, with reservation bookings opening on July 20.
Carthay Circle is a restaurant that transports Guests to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Disney describes it as serving sophisticated cuisine and retro cocktails, and the delicate touches of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are exceptional. Click here to read the full menu.
The Golden Horseshoe is also reopening very soon! This Frontierland dining location is opening on July 29. Note that only food and beverage services will be returning to the restaurant and currently there is no word on when live performers will return.
This quick-service dining location is a favorite among Guests. Serving classic like chicken fingers, fries, and ice cream, Golden Horseshow provides an Old West escape from the summer heat with its air-conditioned dining room. Click here to read the full menu.
This news comes as Disneyland Resort continues its phased reopening. Though the Downtown Disney District reopened in July 2020, the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort did not officially reopen their gates and welcome back Guests until April 30, 2021. As of July 2, all three hotels of the Disneyland Resort (the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) are open, as well.
As the Disneyland Resort has continues its phased reopening and more attractions and dining locations have returned, Disney has recalled and hired more Cast Members. The reopening of several more dining locations at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park is good news for those hoping to return to work at the Happiest Place on Earth, as well as those Guests who have been waiting for their favorite restuarnts to be available again.
Note that not every attraction or dining location has reopened at the Disneyland Resort, and there are several other offerings and amenities — including FASTPASS and most live entertainment — that have not yet returned. But the gradual reopening of dining locations like Carthay Circle and the Golden Horseshoe is certainly happy news.
Disney also announced today that character dining is returning to the Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park (located on the corner of Main Street, U.S.A.) and Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Click here for all the details!
