Walt Disney World has opened a brand new themed dining experience at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This new menu is practically perfect in every way! But, it is not only the menu that transports you into the world of everyone’s favorite nanny, the decor is spit spot!

Here are some of the supercalifragilistic highlights from the newly transformed Citricos.

It is truly impressive how touches from the films are tastefully brought into Citricos without feeling overwhelming. The new theme of the restaurant fits in perfectly with the overall theme of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

The refreshed decor in Citricos has touches from the film Mary Poppins Returns, as well as the original Mary Poppins film from 1964, starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.  The backs of many dining chairs now show sprays of cherry blossoms. The light fixtures and chandeliers also feature cherry blossoms and butterflies.

Other seating reflects the large floral pattern from Mary’s carpetbag from the 1964 movie. Tucked away on the walls, you will see a beautiful painting of Cherry Tree Lane, which is of course the street where the Banks family resides in both the original film and in Emily Blunt’s Mary Poppins Returns (2018).

While the decor is lovely, the food is equally so. One drink geared towards the little ones is called the Purple Penguin, it features pineapple, peach, lemon, and lavender flavors. It ties in wonderfully with the animated penguins from Mary Poppins.

Disney shared a look at more of the food in Citricos on the official plandisneypanel Instagram:

“It was amazing, friends! I highly recommend the Guava Barbecued Short Ribs as an entree. This is the “practically perfect” place for a foodie visiting @waltdisneyworld resort. Thanks for the amazing and unique menu, Chef Andres Mendoza.”

Citricos has plenty of Mary Poppins references and Easter eggs. Be sure and ask your server when you dine at this location as they are knowledgeable about all the little decoration secrets hidden around the restaurant for you.

My personal favorite touch is in the sommelier room (which is not yet open) where you can see Mary Poppins’s magical carpet bag and Polly, her iconic umbrella.

Every part of this dining experience is elegant, just the kind of thing Mary herself would approve of!
