As we continue to move forward through the pandemic, Disney has created a much more “normal” theme park experience as many offerings are beginning to return to normal.
Face mask rules have changed for fully vaccinated Guests and Cast Members, interactive areas have opened back up, and fireworks have returned. Now, we have heard that some entertainment offerings are finally returning to the theme parks.
At Magic Kingdom, we have now started to see a lot more dining locations reopen!
One of the most popular Quick-Service locations that recently returned to Main Street, U.S.A. is Casey’s Corner. The hot dog location has also extended its operating hours to allow Guests to enjoy corn dog nuggets while watching Happily Ever After.
One thing that has been missing from Casey’s Corner is the piano player that sits out front and sings classic baseball tunes. At this time, this entertainment offering is listed as temporarily unavailable. But now, it seems Disney is looking to fill that seat once again. On the Disney Auditions webpage, we can see that they will be hiring one ragtime pianist at Casey’s Corner at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney Live Entertainment is seeking experienced Pianist for Casey’s Corner; performed outdoors at the Magic Kingdom near Orlando, FL.
This audition is to cast ONE Full-Time Musician as well as idendify Sub Performers.
As you walk down Main Street U.S.A., a fanciful surprise awaits—a live outdoor piano performance. Featuring swell ragtime tunes from a bygone era, these syncopated stylings will have you tapping your toes. When folks start to gather around, don’t be surprised if they start to croon along. Between ditties, this proficient pianist may entertain you with one-liners and zingers. This ivory tickler is a real hoot!
Auditions are being held through video submissions, and possible hires must be 18 years old and live in America. This job posting is great news for Disney Guests as it shows that Disney is looking into bringing more entertainment acts back to the theme park.
What other entertainment are you hoping to see return to Walt Disney World?
