Walt Disney World began to reduce social distancing at the theme parks using a phased approach. In fact, we have already seen the theme parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios — begin filling all rows on select attractions and inside some theaters, as well as remove social distancing markers from some queue lines for rides.
Now, as social distancing becomes reduced in certain aspects of Walt Disney World, it seems as though the Monorail will continue to encourage physical distancing as new markers have just been added.
As you can see in the screenshot above, taken by Jennifer (@disneyworldjenn on Instagram), Disney World has added new stickers to the Monorail that say “please wait here”. This indicates that physical distancing will still be enforced while aboard the Monorail, as the stickers are asking Guests to stay within their area and away from other parties inside the car.

This is not the only mode of transportation to make changes regarding social distancing. Though the Monorail seems it will continue to enforce physical distancing, the Disney World Skyliner, on the other hand, is doing away with this protocol.
In fact, the Disney Skyliner is now loading multiple parties into the gondolas. This is a pretty big change, as when Walt Disney World reopened last July, due to the ongoing pandemic, Disney was only seating one party per Skyliner gondola. This was enforced in order to keep Guests safe while traveling throughout Disney property.
