While many Disney fans are currently heading to Disney Parks and Resorts — whether that be Disneyland, Disney World, Aulani, or any other destination — some are still waiting to hear if Disney will reopen many Resort services and offerings that they enjoyed pre-pandemic.
As pandemic restrictions are lifting across the U.S., so are the restrictions Disney has set in place. Recently, Disney announced that many dining options in Disneyland and Walt Disney World that were previously closed will return this summer! Also, Club Level services in many Disney World Resorts are in the midst of returning and allowing Guests to experience upscale services once again.
We’re happy to announce that one of Disney’s most luxurious and indulging services will be returning to Aulani Guests soon: Laniwai – A Disney Spa reopens on June 15.
Laniwai – A Disney Spa
Located in Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, Laniwai is one of the most rejuvenating and relaxing spots you will find while staying at this exotic Disney Resort.
Guests of Laniwai can choose from an array of signature treatments, facials, massages, and more. Aulani also offers incredible family spa treatments, salon services, and a full fitness center.
Included with every spa treatment, is the refreshing experience at Kula Wai, an outdoor hydrotherapy garden that features vitality pools, a reflexology path for your feet, six rain-style showers, hot and cold whirlpool tubs, and more.
Reservations for Laniwai Spa in Aulani are highly recommended and can be made on June 15 by phone, online, or through the Aulani app.
Keep in mind that Laniwai Spa has made some adjustments due to the guidelines and safety of Guests and Cast Members. It is recommended that Guests visit the Aulani Resort website for the most up-to-date information on the Resort’s health and safety measures.
Other Aulani Services that have returned
Last month, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa located in Ko Olina, Hawaii also announced that character dining would return to its very popular Makahiki restaurant, featuring local ingredients and island-inspired dishes, overlooking a shimmering koi pond.
KA WA‘A, a Lu‘au at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, also returned to Guests back in March. Want to know what this exclusive Disney Luau offers? The official Disney Parks Blog reads:
As the sun dips into the ocean to end the day, a conch shell is blown in the distance and you can hear the Hawaiian oli chant begin. This is the tradition of welcoming our guests to KA WA‘A, a Lu‘au at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa … which guests will soon be able to experience once again! I’m thrilled to announce that reservations are now available for KA WA‘A Lu‘au which will reopen on March 27.
Just like we have done with other resort experiences, we have made some adjustments to our lu‘au with the health and safety of our cast and guests in mind. Please see the resort’s website for additional safety measures.
Set under the stars on the beautiful Hālāwai Lawn, KA WA‘A Lu‘au immerses guests in the live music, traditional dance and ancient stories of Hawai‘i through Disney’s signature entertainment. Prior to the show, guests are encouraged to participate in family activities that are now enjoyed from the comfort of their own table. These activities include flower arranging and poi pounding, a process in which Taro root is ground to create poi – a food that is a staple of the traditional Hawaiian diet.
Currently, Hawaii’s state is allowing visitors and residence the removal of masks outdoors but according to the official Aulani website, no official announcements whether they follow the same guidelines at this time are made.
