The Disneyland face mask rule has changed for Cast Members, employees of the California theme park resort. Disneyland officials announced Friday that, starting Saturday, June 26, fully vaccinated Cast Members will no longer be required to wear face coverings outdoors.
Here is the latest information that has been released about the rules for face coverings worn by Disneyland Cast Members.
Starting Saturday, fully vaccinated employees at the Disneyland Resort will no longer be required to wear face coverings outdoors, resort officials announced Friday.
The announcement comes after California fully reopened its economy on June 15.
Cast members who have not been vaccinated yet will still be required to wear masks outdoors and all employees, regardless of vaccination status, will still be required to wear masks indoors, in enclosed vehicles and select health facilities.
“We have evaluated Cal/OSHA’s amended regulations for California employees and will begin the first step in adjusting those practices beginning Saturday, June 26,” said resort officials.
This change comes just over a week after face mask rules changed completely for Disneyland Resort Guests. As of June 15, Disneyland Resort Guests who are fully vaccinated have not been required to wear face coverings, a rule that also applies to Walt Disney World Resort. Keep in mind, however, that Disney is not checking the vaccination status for any Guest, although those who are not fully vaccinated are expected to still wear masks indoors. Additionally, face coverings are still required while using Disney transportation, such as the buses that transport Guests to and from the Toy Story parking lot.
Additionally, over at Walt Disney World in Florida, vaccinated Cast Members no longer have to wear face coverings indoors or outdoors. At this time, vaccinated Disneyland Cast Members still have to wear their face coverings indoors, as mentioned above, but we will update our website as policies change.

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have been reopened since April 30 after a year-long closure due to the ongoing pandemic. Currently, Guests visiting the Resort can enjoy both theme parks and the Downtown Disney District, as well as two onsite hotels (Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel). The Disneyland Hotel reopens on July 2.
