These were all ABC shows and at the time Disney was the new owner of Abc through a series of corporate merger..it’s that simple..a win win for both companies.other popular sitcoms on other networks sis not benefit from this arrangement.

Yep. Don’t know why a whole article was needed. I thought the ABC/Disney connection was well known and obvious. Are there many non-ABC shows that had a Disneyland/World episode?

Came to the comments to say exactly what the other two comments said. The shows that had Disney World episodes were ABC shows. It isn’t at all surprising that Friends didn’t go to Disney World. Friends was on NBC. Seems unlikely that NBC would have ever allowed that. NBC always promotes Universal.

“What better way to attract families to Disney World than to send a television family that they watch to the Most Magical Place on Earth?”
Easy, here’s a better way: lower prices.

I really got a kick out of the two-part Season Five closing episodes of The Middle, in which the family drives to WDW after daughter Sue wins a single-day vacation- only to realize on arrival that their tickets are for Disney LAND!!! I had never seen the show before. How could I resist a show featuring the stupidest family on TV!
