When budgeting your Universal Orlando Resort vacation it is important to factor in all costs. Theme park tickets, hotel stays, and even parking can add up!

The Universal theme park, whether you visit Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, or Volcano Bay, or, perhaps, you are Park Hopping around, all Guests will be spending quite a bit of money. From theme park tickets to merchandise to food, having a budget can be important for many.

That is why it is important to know what each cost is before embarking on your theme park adventure. Recently, it seems that parking costs at Universal have to take a price jump. We saw this in the past during spring break, but then those raises in cost went back down.

Now that we are heading into summer and peak season for Orlando theme parks, it looks like Universal is increasing some of those costs once again. Previously, Preferred Parking would cost Guests $40.00 a day; now, that cost has jumped to $50.00. Below is a full list of what the current parking price costs are at Universal Orlando Resort:

Daily Parking Fees Per Vehicle

Prime Parking:
$50

Prime Upgrade:
$24

RV/Bus Parking:
$32

Regular Parking:
$26

However, regular parking costs have not increased, so the change in cost only applies to Guests looking to have Prime Parking.

At the moment, Universal Orlando Resort is operating on a first-come, first-serve basis, based on the capacity that day. This is likely intriguing for many Guests who may not be able to score a Disney Park Pass for each day of their vacation. Plus, with Jurassic World VelociCoaster opening up, visiting Universal is on the mind of many.

Universal does have quite a walk to get to the theme parks as Guests must park, walk through CityWalk, and then to their theme park of choice. Having Prime Parking would save Guests from having to make that long walk.
