Why are they changing the theme go princess and the frog? Seems boring compared to the adventures of Brer Rabbit, Fox, and Bear. Loved reading the latter adventures as a kid. This is an obvious move for pc sake. What a shame; Walt would not be happy.

It all has to do with “discrimination” because Song of the South what the ride is based on, shows slavery. I’m quite sad it will be changing as I think the Br’er story of the ride is so cute and not as well known as the other Disney stories. I feel it preserves history vs erasing it. But this is just my opinion.

It’s truly a shame they are erasing the last remnants of Song of the South considering it not only won an Oscar for best song with “Zip-A-Dee-Doo Dah” but the actor who portrayed Uncle Remus, James Baskett, won an honorary Oscar for his performance as well.

I personally loved the movie as a kid and looked up to Uncle Remus as a role model. It’s a shame that people only see it for its problematic aspects.

Disney breaks every good ride they have so why would splash be different? To change the theme and destroy the current one is the way it is no matter the loss of creativity.
