Jean Shepherd not only narrated A Christmas Story, he wrote the book from which the movie was created (“In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash”).

If you really want to have your mind blown, the “Ghost Host” is also the Burgermeister Meisterburger from Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, and the singing bust that sings “Grim Grinning Ghosts” also sings the Grinch songs, is the original Tony the Tiger, is Fritz the bird in the Tiki Room, and Buff the Buffalo in the Country Bear Jamboree.

Too Bad that the real voice on the coursel of progress is REX ALLEN – don’t know where you got your facts.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Michael. While Rex Allen voiced Father for the original version in 1964 until the 1970s, Jean Shepherd’s voice lives on as Father in the 1993-present recording at Walt Disney World. Rex Allen can be heard as the Grandfather in this current version. Our facts are up to date!
