We have another update from the Disneyland Resort, and this will make your visit even smoother! Disney is continuing to innovate and introduce new ways for Guests to go about their park day with ease. Now, there is a new pre-pay option for Disneyland Resort parking.
Here’s what you need to know about paying for Disneyland parking in advance of your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
In a new update on the Disney Parks Blog, Disney shared the following:
For added convenience, you may now select the add-on option of purchasing parking vouchers, in advance.
This is excellent news for anyone who is heading to the Disneyland Resort and planning to park on property at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures before heading into Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Often times it can take quite a while to move through the queue as Guests head into the parking structure because each car has to pay before parking. As you can imagine, it can sometimes take several minutes for each Guest to pay to park and then inside the structure, especially since the Annual Passholder program is currently suspended, so no APs have parking included in their pass.
But now, with the option to purchase a parking voucher ahead of time, paying for parking just got much more efficient. We suspect that this will lead to a lot more ease when heading into the parking structure at Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals. If you pay ahead of time and show your parking confirmation to the Cast Member at the lot, chances are you will be able to park a lot more quickly.
Note that a standard one-day parking voucher costs $25, the same price for standard one-day parking. You have the option of adding the voucher to your cart immediately after selecting your ticket type and theme park reservation.
Note that the parking structures at the Disneyland Resort are only guaranteed to open 30 minutes prior to the earliest theme park opening. So, if Disneyland and/or Disney California Adventure open at 9 a.m., parking is only guaranteed to open at 8:30 a.m. You can read all about parking here.
Currently, the only option for onsite parking for your Disneyland or Disney California Adventure park visit is Mickey & Friends/Pixar Pals. The Toy Story parking lot has not yet reopened to theme park Guests. The Simba lot is only available for Downtown Disney District Guests and charges an hourly rate (but validation is available). If you are visiting one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort — such as the recently reopened Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa — onsite parking is available at the hotel.
