While numerous dining locations remain closed at The Walt Disney World Resort, there are some that are continuing to open up as the theme parks continue to adjust to vacationing during a pandemic. Disney has recently announced that the very popular Chef Mickey’s Dinner will open, with modifications.

Chef Mickey’s has been reopened but has not offered dinner. Guests can enjoy a modified Character Breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Now dinner is returning with a new menu that is “no-touch”, which is a departure for the restaurant that is typically a buffet:

According to the Disney Parks Blog:

Starting May 16, Chef Mickey’s will offer an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style dinner that will include “no touch” appearances like snapping a selfie or waving hello as Mickey Mouse and some of his favorite pals make surprising appearances in each of the dining rooms. Similar to other character dining locations, Guests will take home a souvenir with character signatures and colorful artwork.

Seeing your favorite characters isn’t all you can look forward to at Chef Mickey’s! The dinner menu will include items for the whole family, like starters of “Chef Mickey’s Caesar,” citrus-poached shrimp salad, and assorted breads; main courses of gnocchi, roasted garlic potato Gratin, plant-based faro wheat fried rice, prime rib, roasted turkey, and salmon; and an assortment of sweets to top off the meal. Little ones in your family can enjoy mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, turkey corn dog nuggets, and more!

Currently, the popular restaurant, located in Disney World’s Contemporary Resort, is only open for a modified dining and character experience for breakfast. The Disney World website describes the character breakfast dining as:

Enjoy breakfast breads, traditional breakfast entrées such as Mickey waffles, and selections from Chef Mickey’s Signature entrees—including banana bread French toast, loaded potato-cheese casserole and the “Celebration” Mickey pancake. Each table will receive a special autographed card keepsake from Mickey and his friends. Throughout the dining experience, Mickey Mouse and some favorite pals will make surprising appearances in each of the dining rooms. See them move throughout the restaurant, waving hello as rollicking music fills the air.
