If you are a Disney World Guest who likes to rope drop the park your main purpose is probably to get on as many rides as possible before the majority of the Guests enter the park.
Rope dropping can be a great way to ensure you get on all the big E-ticket attractions before their wait times skyrocket to 120 minutes or more. That being said, there is a chance that when you arrive at your Disney World theme park of the day, whether that be Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, that the ride you want to get on will not be open.
Animal Kingdom opens bright and early at 8:00 a.m., and it a park that many Guests will rope drop to avoid lines on Avatar — Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and more! Another attraction that can boast huge lines, especially as the summer months roll in, is Kali River Rapids. Considering Kali River Rapids is the only water attraction that really gets you wet at Disney World, aside from Splash Mountain, it is a must-do for many Guests.

That being said, if you take a look at the Disney World website, you will see that Kali River Rapids opens at 9:00 a.m., so Guests wanting to hop on the attraction early will need to wait for a little. Currently, the website only shows operating hours through to July 16, but it seems that until then, at least, Kali River Rapids will open an hour after the other attractions.
Raft Down a Rip-Roaring River Skim across an erupting geyser, drift below a canopy of lush vegetation and be whisked along fast-moving rapids. Graze gushing waterfalls and bedrock amid the raging current. Then, as the harmony of nature is disrupted, you’ll plummet down a dramatic 20-foot slope!

You Will Get Wet You will surely get splashed on this attraction—and you may even get soaked. Guests wishing to remain dry are encouraged to bring a waterproof poncho, extra clothes or a towel to dry off.
Lockers for mobile devices and other items you want to stay dry are located across from the entrance to Kali River Rapids and are available during your ride (on a first-come, first-served basis).
