If Spielberg directs a Star Wars film it’s either going to need to be less of a Spielberg film and more of a Star Wars one, or more of a Spielberg film and less of a Star Wars one.
Now, he could do more of a standalone story that has nothing to do with the saga but Spielberg is too much of a visionary to have to fit his film into a larger saga.
