And SeaWorld San Diego has already said they will allow out of state visitors within the guidelines. In fact it was their comment on a post that revealed this change in the first place.

Parks shouldn’t allow out of state visitors until after their initial ticket offering (for instance after June 30th with Disney). Many families booked their trips with the knowledge that parks were open to only California residents. Some of the other states have had an increase in cases while California’s has gone down.

Isn’t asking for ID racist anyway?

Too soon! I went to a theme park this weekend and whole families were taking their masks down whenever they had a chance, plus, I bet people will fake the proof just to come to our theme parks, putting everyone at risk for another lockdown.

IF YOU’RE VACCINATED DON’T WORRY ABOUT! I’VE HAD MY FAKE PROOF FOR WEEKS. VACCINES ARE A CHOICE. IT’S ALSO YOUR CHOICE TO STAY AT HOME IF YOU’RE SO SCARED OF CATCHING THE VIRUS. GROW SOME BALLS!

How rude and disrespectful. People are ditching the masks everywhere and theme parks are going to be the reason for the next wave. I agree do not go, however say you have an appointment to go to that is necessary and the person in public around you has gone to a theme park not following guidelines? They just potentially infected everyone around them even though those people did not go to a theme park. Before you want to make rude comments, be mindful. You can still get your point across without being disrespectful. Furthermore this vaccine is a joke and isn’t going to do anything especially with the deadlier strains. This vaccine is poorly tested and not even backed by the FDA. It may or may not make symptoms of covid worse or not as bad. You still can get covid with this vaccine. The vaccine is not a cure or preventative. Having theme parks open (which is a luxury) is medically negligent and have no regard to human life.

      2. Concerned Citizen

Because of people like you is why we should not allow people out of state and it should be a felony to fake a vaccine record in order to do luxury things like go to a theme park

        1. Sada

It’s also against HIPAA to ask for private medical information which should be between the doctor and patient alone.

    2. Concerned Citizen

Well said and agreed. These parks opening up now will only put us in another lock down.

      1. Robert D Sanchez

This is the same for Knotts Berry Farm. Is what it is. If California wants to recover faster it needs more tourist dollars. Should charge out of state visitors five dollars extra to pay for vaccines in California.

You need to chill tf out with that kind of attitude, people who are healthy DONT need tonwear mask. If anything, its people like you who HARASS us about it. Stop being so paranoid and stop worrying about our health and worry bout your own! Keep wearing your little mask if it makes you feel better.

I hope not to see any California people at Universal Orlando anytime soon. (Since out of staters are COVID spreaders).
Florida parks have been open for nearly a year to EVERYONE and there hasn’t been a widespread outbreak of COVID. It’s time for the country to reopen and for people to start living again.

      1. scamdemic

I love Florida!!! Yes, Cali residents need to stay away!

      2. T

        Exactly. So has Texas

Masks don’t do nothing if they did we all wouldn’t have a pandemic they just want us to be under there contole people think about it

      1. Jon

So next time you or a family member is going into surgery, make sure you pass on your knowledge to the surgeon so they don’t have to wear a mask while working.

Are you stupid? Surgeon’s don’t wear masks during surgery to prevent the spread of viruses.

        3. SG

          AGREE, we’ll said!

    4. Concerned Citizen

If people had complied and not thrown fits about their “rights” being stomped on (I’m sorry there isn’t anything in the constitution that states we have the right to not wear masks) then we would be out of the eye of the storm already. We would not even be having this discussion. However because the human species feels entitled we are still here.

      1. RG

This is such a tired argument and the science and data doesn’t even support it. Florida has NEVER had a mask mandate and has the same COVID as CA. I live in CA and 99.9% of people wear masks here. Also, look at Germany, once the bastion of COVID safety is now one of the worst Countries for COVID cases… Are you saying they all of a sudden stopped wearing masks? Stop regurgitating talking points and actually look at data and think for yourself…

  5. Lynn

The “vaccine” (its a shot, vaccines keep you from ever getting it like the mmr
shot for example)doesn’t even work. Just had a client tell me a month after getting the vaccine her and her whole family got covid anyway. Shouldn’t matter if you’re vaccinated. The risk is still the same.

NORTH CAROLINA HERE: I am NOT a Covid spreader… Nor is my family. I’ve been big on sanitizing before the whole day pandemic, Second; covid is air borne, its more spreadable in contained space. When outside, the air is blowing, so its challenging to catch covid on the win/air. We’ve been tested numerous times, by God grace, they’ve been negative. We follow the governor guidelines and universal precaution. So please be mindful when saying OUT OF TOWNERS bring in covid, because were just like you all, caution as well.

  7. Dont Matter

I think they should only allow California residents to their own theme parks. Everyone else stay in your own state with your own germs. Tell your state to build your own theme parks. Just saying.

    1. readytospend$$$

Ummmm, what an ignorant comment. Cali theme parks would go bankrupt immediately. Cali needs out-of-staters more than we need Cali. Just saying.

      1. Drew

Cali has 40 million people, which is taxed heavily here so we don’t need out of staters, California is the richest state due to GDP which blasts all the 50 states away by far, so to that point, we don’t need them. We only need California residents, the rest can stay away tbh

        1. Youneedus

Haaaaaaaa ha ha ha! Keep dreaming, Drew! Disney would collapse immediately without out-of-staters and our money.

Theme parks should not be open yet. They are going to be the cause of the 4th wave of Covid in California. As a concerned citizen, it is going to detrimental, catastrophic even, to the health, safety and well-being of everyone in the state with the re-opening of the theme parks. The East Coast and the Mid West have already started with getting their 4th wave of Covid. As the pattern shows, California is only a few weeks away from it’s 4th wave of Covid. Which will be even worse due to the exposure of theme parks being allowed to open. Yes, I do not have to go to one, however, it does not mean that people that choose not to go will not be exposed because of strangers they run into on the street because of that stranger going. The vaccine is not guaranteed to do anything. It may or may not lessen or worsen the symptoms of Covid. Furthermore, the companies producing these vaccines are released from any and all liability from their product. Meaning, if you suffer adverse effects from the vaccine or even death, the company is not responsible in any way for what happens. It is an utter joke. You can very much still contract and transmit Covid after being fully vaccinated. It is negligent of the theme parks to be open right now. I used to be an avid theme park goer and I am highly disappointed in the blatant disregard of human life these theme parks have. If they cared at all about their employees and their guests they would not be open yet. All they seem to care about is that they can be open and making money. It reminds me of a line from Jurassic Park. Now, I’m paraphrasing here, however the gist of it is this, the people were so concerned about if they can and not concerned about if they should. Sound familiar? The theme parks are so concerned that they can re-open right now and are not stopping to think that they should not re-open right now. They claim in articles that they are enforcing social distancing, mask wearing, sanitizing conditions, however that is all for show. Just like a movie, no one sees or knows what happens when the cameras are off. They are not enforcing it as much as they like to make health officials and news reporters think. Again, it’s all a joke. I do want things back to normal, however not in blatant disregard to human life. The vaccine is not a cure all, it will not even prevent you from contracting or transmitting Covid, and we do have the new strains of Covid here. Which are deadlier than the original strain. I guess only time will tell how bad this next wave we are going to get will be.

  11. Jon

The real reason that out-of-state people are being excluded is that the parks will already fill up with locals at the diminished capacity so they don’t need to add all those extra people into the mix. Also there are states that have completely lost their minds and have no regard for their neighbor and we don’t need those people in our state.

    1. Concerned Citizen

    2. Ruth

If your worried about getting covid STAY AT HOME, and being vaccinated is everyone personal choice and guess what dumb asses, there’s people still getting covid from wearing a mask and also after they have gotten the shots, so NOTHING is fool proof it’s all precaution, there nothing that can be done thats gonna stop you from getting it, if that’s the case then nobody would get it wearing a mask and getting vaccinated, bc we all know germs dissappear when we use sanitizer.

  12. JP

This is what I don’t understand. Why are the virus cases in states like texas and florida (no mask policy) about the same as MI, PA,CA, NY, states with mandated masks? These states had extreme lockdowns and no school (many still aren’t in School) yet Numbers are similar. States with extreme shut downs should have much lower numbers then FL or TX.

    1. Youneedus

That is the million dollar question, JP! Answer: masks and lockdowns DON’T stop a virus from doing what viruses do.
