One of the best things about visiting Disney World is meeting the characters! From Mickey Mouse to Minnie Mouse to all the Disney Princesses, there are so many characters that come to life from our favorite Disney films and TV shows when we are at the parks.
Visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays is even better because, typically, we get to see all the characters change their outfits to reflect the season. Christmas and Halloween are the two biggest seasons where we get to see the costume changes really come to life, but there is one season (aside from Christmas, when we see Santa) that Disney unleashes a non-Disney character to roam the parks.
As we enter Easter weekend — which, as we reported, will be at capacity at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, and chilly — Guests can expect to see the Easter Bunny hopping around! Disney fan Alan M. (@big_al_guy) took to Instagram to showcase Mr. and Mrs. Bunny hopping around on the grass around Cinderella Castle.
Although the Easter Bunny is not a Disney IP, the Mr. and Mrs. are dressed in fabulous pastel-themed outfits to celebrate the weekend. This reveal of the characters is unique to the Easter season and exciting for Guests who can snag a photo, as they will be gone likely once Tuesday rolls around since Easter will be over by then. Plus, we are not sure how often they will come out over the weekend, and at which parks — so as you enjoy your Disney Easter weekend, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for these characters!
At the moment, Guests can only have socially distanced interactions with characters who are standing from afar or driving by on a cavalcade.
Are there any other holiday characters you would like to see Disney introduce to the parks on certain occasions and holidays?
