Here, we will take a look at some hotels where Guests can stay that can meet any budget. The rates you can see below are rates that are available for checking into the hotel on April 29, the night before Disneyland’s reopening, according to each hotel’s official website.

Keep in mind that Disney has advised upcoming Guests to secure a theme park ticket and reservation before booking a hotel. That way, they can guarantee that they will be able to get into the park before booking an overnight trip. You can read more about theme park reservations here.

Good Neighbor Hotels

There are a number of hotels in the Disneyland Resort area that are known as Good Neighbor Hotels. These hotels will sell Disneyland Park tickets and typically offer transportation to and from the parks. These hotels range from moderate hotels to suites and deluxe hotels.  A complete list of Disneyland’s Good Neighbor Hotels can be found by visiting Disneyland’s website.

There is certainly no shortage of hotels in the area surrounding Disneyland. While many of these hotels may have a higher price tag, there are a number of hotels with great amenities and a great price tag. The hotels we have included below have prices that are very comparable to Value Resorts and Moderate Resorts at Walt Disney World.

Note that you cannot currently book a Good Neighbor Hotel vacation package through the Disneyland website, but that will change very soon.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Water Playground

This hotel has a slightly higher price tag of $169 per night, but the proximity to Disneyland, as well as its family-friendly water playground, make it a popular spot for families. The hotel offers free parking, as well as free WiFi to its Guests.

Disneyland is only about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, but Guests can also take the ART – Anaheim Resort Transportation – that will take them to the park, for an additional fee.

The biggest highlight of this hotel is the Water Playground that is available to hotel guests. Currently, Guests are able to make reservations for the Castaway Cove and Garden Pool area. According to the hotel website:

We are delighted to announce our new seating reservation system for Castaway Cove and Garden Pool water facilities.  This new system will allow our Guests to guarantee seating and will limit attendance for social distancing.  One 2-hour time slot at Castaway Cove and one 2-hour time slot at the Garden Pool will be available per day for families of up to 5 people per room.  You can choose between one dining table w/chairs or up to 5 lounge chairs per room, based on availability.  Reservations open 48 hours prior to your check-in date, so be sure to reserve your spot before you arrive!

The Anaheim Hotel

This Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel is only about a 10-minute walk to the Park entrance. It is situated right across the street from Disney California Adventure Park.

Rates begin in the low $100 range and a number of discounts are available, including those for members of AAA and AARP. The Anaheim Hotel also offers Disneyland vacation packages.

According to the Anaheim Hotel site, one of those packages is the Downtown Disney Vacation Package:

Take advantage of the additional shops and restaurants in the expanded Downtown Disney area with this special offer of a $25 Disney gift card and complimentary parking at the hotel which is located right across from Disneyland® Resort.

Candy Cane Inn

Also located very close to Disneyland, the Candy Cane Inn is another one of Disney’s Good Neighbor Hotels. This hotel offers Guests a Continental Breakfast, free parking, and transportation to and from the Disneyland Resort.

This is considered a moderately priced resort. Rooms are available for the opening of Disneyland and will range from $135 to $175.

Hotels on Disneyland Property

There are three hotels on Disneyland property, the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will open back up on April 29 for Guests to stay at for Disneyland’s reopening. Reopening dates for Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel have not yet been announced.

Beginning April 15, Guests can start booking stays at the Grand Californian for April 29 and beyond.

When Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa initially reopens, some experiences may be modified or unavailable. Health and safety guidelines will be in place and theme park reservations will be required for park entry. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, in line with current State guidelines. Proof of residency may be required.

Guests who stay at the Grand Californian will be staying at a top-tier hotel, that will come with a higher price tag. The hotel offers a number of great amenities, including delicious dining and relaxing pool areas. There is also a special entrance to both Downtown Disney and California Adventure for hotel Guests.

It is important for Guests to remember that simply staying at the Grand Californian for Disneyland’s reopening will not guarantee access into Disneyland or California Adventure. A valid theme park ticket and reservation will also be required for entry.
