As the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort continues, and following the layoffs of tens of thousands of employees across the U.S., Disney Parks and Resorts have just announced some new job opportunities!
Disney World is Hiring
Inside the Magic shared earlier this year that Disney added job listings for bus drivers at the Walt Disney World Resort and for a Principle Fireworks Designer, who will lead the team and be in charge of special effects and designs for nighttime spectaculars.
As Disney moves forward and begins hiring more Cast Members in 2021, we are happy to announce that four more jobs have appeared on the Disney Careers official website.
There is nothing like the feeling of walking into a Disney Resort hotel. Disney strives to make lasting memories for Guests and their families — and it can start from the moment you walk into your room. The unique themed scents and clean environment can create a second-home feeling.
Housekeeping Cast Members have many responsibilities, including “maintaining Guest areas and backstage locations”, cleaning Guest rooms, vacuuming, dusting, and interacting with Guests at the Resort.
Walt Disney World Resort is searching for full-time positions at a starting rate of $16.00/hour, with benefits including healthcare and retirement plans.
According to Disney Careers, the Sanitation Systems Operator job will provide applicants with opportunities to work with the most skilled technicians and have experience in the distribution of system flushing and pumping systems. Disney shared:
The Sanitation Systems Operator is responsible for performing maintenance at an RCID Utility potable water treatment facility. Analyze and troubleshoot concerns using data and use proper action to meet the operating objective. Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on facilities and equipment. Ensure the sanitation of the water system and validate the quality and quantity customers receive. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
Disney Careers has not stated the salary for this particular position.
Guests can agree that Walt Disney World has some of the cleanest and most thrilling pools at over 25 Resorts, and families can rest assured that Disney hires the best lifeguards to keep the safety of Guests first and foremost.
In case you are not aware, Disney completes extensive training on infant, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and new hires receive paid training to acquire lifeguarding certifications.
Disney provides two separate salaries for Lifeguards, $14.25/hour for shallow water and $15.25/hour for deep water.
Benefits for this job were not listed.
Much like the Housekeeping position, the Houseperson is in charge of supporting Resort hotels by stocking and ensuring the Resort storage rooms have everything they need. Disney Careers noted the following responsibilities:
