Our family has tickets to go for a couple days next week and again in June as Marvel Studios opens. My husband and I are vaccinated, but I really hope the mask requirement is still in place until at least June 15 (after our trips) because my children (like all American children) won’t be able to be vaccinated until much later this year. I know fabric masks are not a cure all, but it seems like a minor inconvenience to reduce transmission for younger parkgoers.
I TOTALLY agree!
lol, lets see how much of a “minor inconvenience” the mask is when you are three hours in breathing 90 degree heat with 100% humidity, and you cant take the thing off anywhere.
Hopefully masks will be far more relaxed in WDW this summer. Its miserable in the heat. Fully vaccinated should not have to wear them all the time simply because others choose not to get a vaccine. My youngest is asthmatic and cannot get a vaccine yet due to age. But once she is able we will. Meanwhile I am not going to WDW.
If the reward was no masks if vaccinated, more people would get them to be done w masks…
or better yet, make disney only available to vaccinated individuals over 16, and all children under 16 whether vaccinated or not.
Safe, and free of masks. Unless you CHOOSE to wear one. That is your right. If you are vaccinated and still want to wear one you can.
Those under age 16 have not yet been approved for vaccination, and still need protection! I hope Disney keeps this in mind. It is not right to say that children cannot visit because they are not vaccinated. Wearing a mask is a small sacrifice to protect our children!
They already said masks don’t make a difference if you are a educated person and wearing a masks outside is not necessary. But they government will tell you different bc they want that control same with the shot. There is no proof the shot does anything. Plus I’m 6 months you have to get another one. And people still got some kind of virus with the shot. People need to stop with being puppets to the government. This is getting crazy already. And Disney is not going to change bc people will go any how. . People need to start living there lives like before.
Puhleeze….education has nothing to do with whether or not masks make a difference. And, to what do you attribute the lowering numbers to? Phase of the moon perhaps? No one got the virus from the vaccine, because there is no virus IN the vaccine. And there is no proof that one must get another vaccine in 6 months….. just rumor you’re intimating. My choice to get a vaccine or not does not make me a “puppet to the government”…… so just stop.
Where did you find the information that masks don’t lower the infection rate from Covid-19?
Thank you very much!!
The bottom line is $$$. Disney is asking itself, “Will we draw more high-paying customers with or without mask mandates?” It’s not about safety. It’s not about health. It’s not about control. Money, money, money, baby!
Feel free to wear your mask if it makes you feel safe. Science PROVES they serve almost no purpose and we’ve been lied to for over a year. There is very little evidence of outdoor spread; there is more evidence that the over-sanitizing of surfaces is unnecessary AND harmful. Vaccinated or not, we should have individual freedom to decide what is best for ourselves and our children. We are NOT hurting you by living our lives and to assume that we have all been sick and spreading a virus that has a nearly 100% recovery rate since March 2020 is asinine.
This would be great news. I can’t wait for the experience to be back to normal so it will be worth the money to go back. I really miss it!
Disney, no masks required outside please?!?! More than happy to where inside as needed. But outside is just silly!
Agree with this sentiment, wholeheartedly. Masks don’t offer much incremental protection outside, vaccinated or not. Hopefully, it will be Disney Policy to follow CDC guidelines soon so we can ditch the masks and enjoy the hot humid air of Orlando!
