I think Carano firing caught Disney off guard on how actual fans and the public response wasn’t what they expected. They got major backlash and no matter how you look at it the amount of customers ending dusney+ membership had to of taken a toll specially with the amount of closings they are having to under go with that’s a lot of money gone. I loved watching the Mandaloroan but how they handle handle things with double standards won’t put time into it when these cancel culture people will complain about anything even cartoon skunks are a issue. Disney bent the knee over politics might say oh it wasn’t about that but to the majority it was. If people want to watch it good it’s your choice to to do so hopefully no one else gets axed then again Rosario Dawson has got much flack for being labeled transphobic so who knows if they’ll try to cancel her next be a hit to the Ahsoka show.

This is all bad news, and no I don’t take Disney’s statements at face value. Undoubtedly the contract with Carino includes licensing for her likeness and financial compensation for additional appearances of her character. I won’t fault Disney for parting ways with her, it’s their decision, like it not, but let’s not pretend that they are some benevolent overlord.

Worse news is the shoehorning of Hera into well, everything. You would think Disney would have learned it’s lesson with the Mandalorian, people LIKE original characters. Instead we have Hera all over the Alphabet books, Hera all over Squadrons, and now we get Hera all over Rangers? Pick a roll for her and stick her into it.

You want to make Rangers good, put Kapp Dendo as a Hispanic lead, broken stormtrooper armor and all, in it and you’ll see what the show can do. Recycle a fan favorite into a new role to try to score points with the fans and continue to allow fan casting to run the shows? We are just going to assume you are creaitvely lazy, perhaps accurately.

It’s unfortunate this publication does not have a good copyeditor. They have turned Grogu from a foundling into a founding.

Given the petty way that Disney handled the Gina Carano situation it seems safe to assume that the book is delayed because they’re removing Cara Dune from it entirely.
Honestly is there anyone left who really cares?? Star Wars is dead and Chapek just confirmed that it’s going to stay that way.

Reminds me of the Fett toy that Kenner showed back in the day with the firing rocket. Always something out there that gets cancelled.
