I really dislike wearing masks. They’re a nuisance and very uncomfortable in the summer. However, I’m glad Disney is enforcing what is common sense. Masks are proven to reduce the spread of viruses. They’re not fool proof, but an important part of this fight. Both my wife and I have been vaccinated, but when we visit in June we’ll both be wearing our masks so long as it’s mandated by Disney.

Actually there is little to zero solid scientific nor medical evidence that masks prevent the spread of anything.
Every single person who complies with this nonsense is apart of the problem.
Healthy people do not need a mask and should not be forced to wear one because of a few other people.

      1. Dave

        You are correct.

I agree with Sue. If people want to wear a mask, many of them filthy by the end of the day, have at it. But quit making healthy people willfully walking into a major theme park, without a fever, wear them. Covid theatre.

Disney is the only one with mask restrictions in this country. Any mask that covers should be allowed. Completely idiotic.

    1. Paul

Jamie, many states, and therefore many, many businesses, have rules about the types of masks that are acceptable. They mirror the rules in WDW, and those are based on CDC guidelines.

Really Jamie based on which research? Maybe you should read the meta-study which looked at 21 studies of mask efficacy. Neck gaiters are worse protection than wearing a paper mask. Before you write something try to read a little and inform yourself to establish logical argument.

      1. Sue

Maybe you should take a look at the 10 randomized controlled studies Dr. Fauci had conducted and signed off on which proved beyond a reasonable doubt that not a single mask prevented the spread of anything.

Doesn’t sound like a vacation to me ??‍♀️ I’ll wait.

Probably should stay closed. Went in January it was a complete joke. Wish I’d known before going would not have wasted the seven admission tickets which was obviously over $1000. Do yourself a favor save your money. Happiest place on earth was far from it.

  5. Cindy

This is good and reasonable. I am much more likely to keep our visit booked for October if Disney continues to maintain safety practices in alignment with current CDC guidance. Nobody wants the happiest place on earth to become the spreadiest place on earth!

Some people are really so ignorant. I feel safer at Disney Springs with their
restrictions and protocols than almost anywhere besides my own house. If you don’t like the rules of a private business then do us all a favor and stay home!

Nursing home deaths, sheep, and a comorbidty skewed count was necessary for optics, which eventaully allowed for new procedures Novemeber 3rd mess……… 😉 Don’t act like it has not crossed your mind. Nuanced Liars haha

This is a downward spiral. Places that are open have the same issues as those that are closed. For those who believe masks work, they are only kidding themselves. Look at Flu data from 2020 and compare it to that of 2019. 2020 is a fraction of 2019. This has all been a massive joke. Also look at how the Covid is classified. PI&C, pneumonia, influenza, and covid. Its a common flu, as stated by the CDC. Live your life, protect the elderly. Stop letting letting Government control you.

As our new President might say “the Neanderthals are complaining about masks”. Sure, take them off while you’re at home, while you’re at work (if your boss allows you), but respect the thousands of Disney patrons expecting everyone at the parks to make an effort to keep their neighbor safe.

Want some cheese with that whine?

I met a lady at the airport she had a mask had a solid price over mouth and the top that went over the nose was lace. Very pretty but totally useless

I was there on Friday and saw a good number of people with masks on but down under their chin. They don’t do a great job of enforcing the rules.

  11. William Edward

Literally half their cast members are dedicated to mask enforcement, despite no evidence of viral spread in an outdoor environment. They even said if youre jogging alone you must wear one. They have completely gotten away from making this the happiest place on earth. Their policies are so far from logic that theyre not actually protecting anyone.

If this is a true, deadly pandemic, theme parks would not be open. Nothing would be. Come on people. 98% recovery rate. Kids are hardly affected. People under age 70 without severe health issues fare very well. End the lockdowns, silly zip tied plexiglass panels, 6 feet marks on the ground everywhere, and of course the filthy used masks we are forced to wear. It will be very interesting to see how many people in total died in 2020 as opposed to previous years. I’m betting not much of an increase at all.
