As a parent of 3 girls 10 and under, meeting characters is the highlight of our Disney trips and we are desperate for normal meet and greets to return. I think that bookings through the app sounds great and we welcome this but I hope that we can soon have closer meets like before because even the 6 feet distance isn’t the same. The kids are missing this magical experience and they grow up so fast. It’s such a shame. I understand why, but just hope it can return properly soon because until it does we won’t go to Florida from the UK. We may go back to DLP when France opens but character meets are huge for our decision to return to Florida.

Character meet and greets are a huge part of my family’s vacation too, I want normal meet and greets back as well!

Six foot meet and greets are not magical at all . I prefer to wait until things are back to normal . Interacting with a character needs to be the way it was and not at a distance.

I also heard that all adults in Florida will be eligible to get vaccinated starting April 5th and that would include characters I believe.

I totally 100% agree with you. Being able to closely interact, give hugs, and take selfies with any Disney Character friend is a huge part of me when visiting Disneyland as well, I’m really praying & hoping that Disney will bring back the normal traditional Disney Character meet and greets very soon.

Meet and greets are what kids (and adults) love. Collecting autographs in your autograph book and matching the pictures with them when you get home are what memories are made of. I love looking back in the albums over the years because it makes me feel good and the kids get excited and want to go again. Hopefully things get back to normal soon but I fear it will never be the same. Glad I took a lot of pics every time we went.

I would like to be able to book meet and greets but I just realized that what if after the pandemic is over this becomes permanent? I really really want to meet Anna and Elsa and I don’t want to have to worry about meet and greets with them getting fully booked. I also worry that if I have to book an early meet time that I won’t make it because last time we went my mom and sister slept late every day. I like knowing that I’d be pretty much guaranteed to meet my favorites but I don’t like the thought of passes running out too quickly for the more popular characters. If they do do this they should still have a standby line for the popular characters so everyone can get a chance to meet them.

      Same here too.

I would love to see meets resume at WDW by October 1st and before December 12th, so this can be an option onto the MyDisneyExperience app to book a spot for character meet and greets(not an up charge like Tokyo and Paris), so I can meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Max, Donald, Daisy, Chip & Dale, Pluto, and maybe even a few surprises(maybe the return of folks like Darkwing Duck, Robin Hood, Pinocchio, Milo & Kida, and the possible debuts of Mira, Luz & King from Owl House, Luca & Alberto, Joe from Pixar’s amazing masterpiece Soul, Raya and maybe Sisu(in human form) from the much beloved Raya and the Last Dragon)

Apparently, Disney hasn’t made walkarounds for Joe, Luca and Alberto, Raya and Sisu yet, but it’s possible they might be working on them now. Also Disney doesn’t do TV walkarounds anymore unless it’s for Disney Junior.
