“will allow Guests to utilize their iPhone, Apple Watch or another smart device ”

Why are you promoting a specific device, and not even the industry’s leading platform? If you’re getting product placement fees, disclose that, Journalism 101.

If you’re shooting for an accurate description of the service, but don’t know how, try “smart phone and linked devices.”

I hope this works better than unlocking hotel room doors. The door reads my phone with the app open but I’ve never had it successfully unlock the door.

You ask WHY APPLE?… because Apple/ Steve Jobs is the largest stock holder in Disney.

The reason why they are developing on Apple first is simple. It’s easier to develop on Apple devices because their devices or not as fragmented as they are with android devices. Developers only have to make one version of the and will work on all iPhones and Apple watches; on the other hand, with android, they will have to develop an app for each device manufacturer which will be very tedious. They will have to make a version of the app that’ll work with hardware from Samsung, HTC, One plus, Oppo, Huawei, etc.
